I know salary isn't a issue in GLB anymore. and that this suggestion probably isn't a need that everyone will want. but I was thinking a day or so ago when I had to go through a few of my players contract offers to re-up with their current teams. I had to PM a few owners and have them re-send the contracts that would just lock my player up for the next season instead of the 3 season contracts that the owners sent.

my thoughts here are that this would be like negotiating a real contract. the owner could send a offer and the player could counter. if the player counters then the owner can either accept or re-counter. I know alot of people wouldn't use this option. but more than a few people on the game are asking for more realistic things to be added. I figured this would give them the options they would like and also this wouldn't be a add on that could disrupt the game or create a loophole for people to abuse.

simply guys if you do not like it then that is fine it was just a idea that popped into my head. and I thought that others could possibly like the idea. either way you go +1 or -1 is fine I am not going to argue the idea.

Sometimes if you know your dot is going to stay with a team for a while, it'd be nice to get it out of the inbox for a few seasons.

I disagree there is no way anyone should sign contracts that long on this game. this isn't real life and the players aren't getting paid with real cash. If you lock a player up for that long and the owner gets mad or there is some sort of falling out between the player and the owner then the player is screwed and can be rotted and all that money spent on the player wasted.

what if you own a team and are signing your own dots? for some of mine lifetime contracts would be fine--especially since as both the team owner and agent I can renegotiate easily at any time
