Thats when league adjustments are paid, and ticket and game income generated. And its when NFL players get paid too I believe. So why does GLB have the bums being paid when they are on vacation?

I know its a hangover from the pay to train days. But thats history. Off Season Salary should be too for the sake of simplicity and consistency.

NFL players get paid per game, with their last game check coming two weeks after the season ends.

Yep, that's why players push for money salary bonuses

then you would be forced to pay what we currently pay in 40 days over just 32 days

that seems dumb

unless you want to chop salaries by 20% and only pay for 32 days that way, then you make finances even far to easier than they already are

To the OP if the suggestion is to remedy a problem you are having then learn to run your teams finances better and stop asking for GLB to fix things for you.

I just have a suspicion that when it comes to computer games, OP is the type to look through the book of cheat codes while he is still in the middle of installing the game in the first place.

Nope, wouldnt use cheat codes if you were yelling them at me during the game.

I am the kinda guy who goes straight to the campaign mode with all of the optional rules and won't play anything else.

However I have never been the guy who feels the need to build his own game pieces from poured lead or carved wood either. There is the fun of the game and there is the drudge work the person selling me the game should have done to begin with and I know the difference.

Well beyond the non-simulation nature of paying them in the offseason, and beyond the inconsistency that its the only financial thing that happens every day, there IS a game play reason for it as well. And you hint at it.

Yes you would be paying more then. But thats when you are making your money as well. its easier to match your salary to your income and to see if there is a problem and if a problem develops unforeseen, you have the opportunity to fix it by trying to increase income or spend less on promotions etc. If you screw up your finances post season though (you spent too much during the season) you're frakked through the whole 16 days, or I guess as much as 24 days if not a playoff team.

It would be much more user friendly to have the income and recurring expenses occuring at the same time. And it is what happens in the sport being simmed. And its what is true for everything BUT this one expense.
