I have a bunch of mid level dots I have decided for flex and build reasons to retire, guys who were going to go to my higher tier clubs but I have decided I do not want and would rather have their flex and certainly do not feel like paying flex to boost them.

But thats a bit of a shame because they are half built or better some of them and its a waste.

So I was thinking it would be nice if there was a Red Light District Forum where people could put up dots for rent. Terms to be that hey heres my dot you can have him on your team but I am not paying to boost him unless you donate flex of like amount to a team of my choices flex bank.

Even better just let the team owner boost em if I check a box allowing it.

Or allow the dot to be "sold" in some fashion, say a trade like window where the trader puts up the player and the tradee checks a box to pay the guys retirement flex and it switches accounts on the rollover and the former dot owners account is credited as if the dot retired. That way no "profit" is being made and the wasted dot is not wasted.

I know in Eve Online, a space MMO thats very popular and long term successful, they allow Captains to be sold like that (complete with their ships etc) for in game currency and its working for them.

Or is that a NGTH item? It shouldn't be if so.

Things I have suggested have wound up in the game many times, though its highly unlikely that it was implemented because I suggested it.

Yeah not sure about the NGTH angle. If it is though, it shouldn't be. Other games do it and it works for them, and why not? Its not something thats giving the renter any special advantage he doesnt already have as a deep pocket. Its just giving him some convenience.

And you wouldnt use as an owner renter? Yes the cost of the convenience of finding the dot you need on the market who would not be there otherwise is that you do spend your flex and not get it back if you are doing the donation to team flex.

But if you allow the dot to be sold outright you only get that with the initial purchase.

I am tight on flex right now but there have been times when I would have happily rented or bought a dot in a slot I had not built ahead of time but suddenly was a hot ticket item and impossible to get on the free agent market (see TEs, and pretty much every season good centers for some reason).

Well I had two ideas up there.

ONE of them is what you said, yes. We do a trade like window, I commit the player, you commit the flex I would get for retiring him (say about 9000 for a QB for instance, the usual whatever it is) and if we both accept at the roll over your flex is 9000 lower, mine is 9000 higher and the dot is now on your home page and not on mine. Actually I guess you would not really lose any flex because when you retired him you would get the usual retirement cost? And of course if the dot still had the ability to boost you would pay for that and get your refund at retirement normally etc too.

The OTHER idea would be for younger dots that still had boosts left and who I do not need the flex for right now but decide I do not want to boost or use any more. The idea then would be to merely have a forum to allow me to say "I'll sign this dot to your team but if you want him to boost you have to donate flex to my team first". So you send an offer I sign, and if you donate the flex at some point and ask me to boost I would boost. Nothing really new, you could do it now. Would just be a forum to advertise the dots for that.

especially the "I'll sign my dot with your team for flex" idea. If is not on the NGTH list, it should be.

I came into this thinking there was gonna be an escort hook-up forum being suggested, with reviews sub-forum

Hey, that could be Borts next big MMO: Pimps n Hoes

I would put all SP into right arm strength, so my pimp hand would be strong

-1 There is no flex payment for player scheme's encouraged within GLB. So trying to make a deal where someone pays flex someplace to get your player is NGTH.

Transferring flex points to other users (see Flex Points in contracts)
-Flex Points in contracts (ruined Cyberdunk)
