Offense has multiple VA's for late game comebacks. Comeback kid, OTK, hail mary, Clock Manager. But the Defense has no counter VA's (that i know of) to counter these offensive VA's

Overtime Killer works both ways, so realistically thats not the answer.

Basically my suggestion is to add a defensive late game VA similar to Comeback Kid or Clock Manager.
Not sure what to call it but something similar to this:

"This player excels in putting the game away. Each level of , <insert name here> gives a +1% bonus to Deflecting passes as a DB (CB/FS/SS), or +1% (.5%) chance to knock the ball loose when playing LB, when on Defense with less than 30 seconds left in the 2nd or 4th quarters. In addition, each level of<insert name here> extends the bonus by an additional 6 seconds into the quarter.

Or a counter to comeback kid

This player makes big plays when it counts. When his team is Winning by Less than 7 points, each level of <insert Name Here> gives a +2% chance to Deflect passes longer than 15 yards with another defender around him and a +3.5% bonus to avoiding being faked.

Comeback VAs make the game more exciting, in that it's harder to put the game away. Anti-comeback VAs would do the opposite.

I'd be up for a comeback VA for defenders, though: maybe something that gives a bonus to interception chances when the defensive team is down by 7 or more. That would make the game more exciting rather than less, and interceptions are somewhat low so buffing them in some situations is also reasonable.

Every VA for one side of the ball should have a perfect counter on the other side of the ball. For every O VA, there should be a counter VA for the D and vice versa. And we don't have to worry about STs since they already killed those.

if you dominate the game, and lose on 4 passes covering 60 yards into double and triple coverage... that kinda sucks. They nerfed the offensive VA's but never created a defensive counter. Even a .5% or something smaller, just to have something to at least counter the 75% catch ball chance at the end of the game. 15% deflect ball chance is still less than 75% but at least gives you some sort of counter

I strongly disagree with that. Having asymmetrical VAs makes the game much more interesting.

VAs can be added on one side of the ball for a lot of different reasons. Many such VAs keep the game relatively balanced. Some were added for overall game balance, or tweaked to enhance balance. The Comeback Kid VA makes the game at least a little more exciting, more so before its second nerf.

If you want something to counter Clock Manager, it's actually okay with me at this point because Clock Manager is so weak, and its counter would thus be so weak, that I don't think many people would use them and if they did they would almost never come into play. I still disagree, but the effect would be so infinitesimal it's like "Meh." It's the counter to Comeback Kid that I'm really against. I'd actually support giving the defense something similar for when they're behind, but there should never be a VA that works better when you're ahead.

But when you're talking about Comeback Kid you aren't talking about +75%, but +30%.

Oh, and if you "dominate the game" you're ahead by much more than 7 points.

actually you can dominate a game and lose on the last play, when you hold a team to 3 FG's and they score in the last 2 minutes or 30 seconds... yeah.... you can.

+1 but only if you change it to not be a positional based bonus. Every dot should get a 1% boost to KL's and PD's,

I think the counter is you are less effective the rest of the game. More than balances things IMHO.
