How about implementing a build scheduler that goes out about 14 days. You could schedule your individual player's build moves in advance, that way more time could be spent game planning, recruiting, etc. and there would be less risk of missing valuable rollover opportunities.
Personally, I find that somedays I spend a great deal of time working on planning player builds and scheduling moves in my mind, but other days are consumed with life in general and sometimes those planned build moves are missed.
This might be an add-on to the auto-train feature, but would also include a scheduled skill point application feature.
