How about a catching slider to tell whether or not to slow down to catch the ball. The Higher you go the more likely you are to catch the ball in stride but more likely to drop the ball.

Hmmm, this seems to be a good idea. But really is it something a receiver has any control over? Isn't it more about where the ball is being placed?
You could perhaps have a slider about how LONG you slow down, which could be the same thing in effect, the old "looking down field before you catch the ball" thing that usually comes up when it results in a muffed catch.
