So I've been on multi training for a while now, but obviously as a result I only have one piece of equipment. When should I think about moving away from multi training?

I am by no means an expert but I do know you get 12 BT for multi-training vs. 8 BT for intense training over the 4 days. However, if you plan to do normal training, you would get 16 BT over the same 4 days.

As far as I've heard, last two seasons before plateau should be trained on relaxed to save BTs for at least 3 pieces of AEQ. 4 pieces in case you haven't really spent your BTs before.

Find out the remaining cost to buy+fully upgrade your EQ choices, go to VPB, set this BT total as your end goal and sim on multi untill it says to stop. From there u can make adjustments and stop certain attribs earlier to avoid stoping at 50%(for example) and not being able to roll it over after stoping multi. Dont forget to add 35 BTs if u want to add an extra SA.

Generally around day 160-180 is the time for me. This is after I have spent a lot of BT enhancing and unlocking multi training. The best thing is to go shopping for your EQ (if you random shop - do it when you hit lvl 51) and then work out how much BT you need to fully complete all of it. Then use the VPB to see how many tokens you will get if you were to switch to light till you reach plataue. If you have enough to do it all and have tokens spare, work out how many multi/normal trains that gives you before you have to make the switch.
By the time your working this out you will have used a lot of the multi combos and it is likely that some normal trains are more benificial over multi (as the multis do not suit what works out best to train). Each normal train loses you 2BT over light training, so you can work out how many of those you can do before needing to go to light for the rest of your training life.
The good thing is you will always have a little more than you work out as you will exchange your leftover XP at plataue into Training points, which results in some extra BT - but I wouldnt factor those into your calculations. Use those just as a buffer.

Yeah basically what was said earlier, know your AEQ needs, if you are going 3 aeq, then around day 220-240.
If 4 AEQ around day 140-180 depending on needs.

Thanks for this... I have one other question about my equipment too.
Currently all my equipment is on throwing, but I was thinking that maybe my next piece should be all strength (+3 strength, tight spiral and then strength increases every time). Would that make sense? Or should I maybe make it +3 throwing, tight spiral and then upgrade it with strength?
My current throwing is 134.52 (+37)... if the next piece is all strength that would drop to 127.52 (+30)
