I do not see a clear vision for this site. It is a complete mess, and the steps to fixing it have not been seen by me.
What is Goal Line Blitz supposed to be?
Because it is about as far from an MMORPG as it can get.
Pretend like you create a character on Skyrim, or the superior KoA: Reckoning but you are denied the ability to explore and discover all the great areas of the game. All you can do is sit at an anvil or sit at a pile of rocks mining all day.
Something needs to be added to the game to keep members who don't Coordinate or Own teams happy and busy with their players.
My first player was made on Day 11 of Season 1 and it's been talked about sine then to add more RPG elements regarding cash, an economy, making purchases, etc etc etc.
It's now Season 27 and money has been made absolute and things like multi-training and auto-training have been implemented that effectively mean I don't even need to log in during the regular season except to watch replays until I need to boost, which is the only way to be truly competitive.
Every single offseason there are tons of changes made to the simulation (none of which I deny need to be made) and the RPG portion of this game is slowly being completely removed.
I'd really be interested in seeing sign up numbers and then if those new members stay active for 1 season 3 seasons 5 seasons, etc etc. I help run a small NFL / Sports forum and once owned a team consisting of nothing but referrals me and the GMs had from that site... All but 2-3 have quit.
What is Goal Line Blitz supposed to be? Is it a football RPG with a stellar simulation... Or an online and 2nd rate version of EA Head Coach?
I will end this with two quick thoughts.
Firstly, I myself just recently got back from a year+ long hiatus from this game. So I am sure this has been brought up and possibly beaten to death. If so, please point me in the direction of a thread or threads where I can find a solution to this issue. And for that, I do apologize. I appreciate any and all help regarding this matter.
Secondly.. I know it sounds like I am bashing GLB and what not.. But honestly I love the site here, even with its flaws and lack of activity for the normal, every day member. I've sunk hundreds of dollars into flex (I know, a paltry sum for a lot of you over 27 seasons) but I have found myself questioning what that money has gone to over the years.
