A better solution to stop the reroller script is to not allow X amount of new dot retirements within a certain Y time period.

Example: You can retire a new dot only 4 times every 60 minutes.

Example 2: You can retire a new dot only 1 time every 15 minutes.

This would allow GLB to still have breakthroughs early in a dots career plus stop the scripts.

No one needs to retire new dot after new dot quickly unless running a script.

Better solution, would be to block greasemonkey scripts and absorb the helpful ones, pay the creators of the absorbed scripts 2000 FP's

You cannot simply do that, though. They would have to add captcha's on every page they run, pretty much.

I think the main thing they were trying to stop is the retroactive rerolling of a player to achieve more breakthroughs.

Yes....you have to retire to do this. So stop how many retires you can do.

Not a terrible idea but people could still conceivably use the script to just roll 4 times an hour for the last couple of days until they get a few rolls they like.

Current fix is fine. Not getting 1-2 breakthroughs on average doesn't mean much to your dot. Stop finding things that are worth less than 1 SP to complain about...

so if I am set to retire an entire peewee team (which a lot of people do) it would take me like 3 weeks to retire them? no thanks. -1

He said new dot.

The idea is not a bad one, I will +1 it, but the Bort fix is not bad either.

So they will pay them nothing actually.

I'm pretty sure that this change was due to an idea I brought up in the build advice forum in regards to the best method of how/when to cap your primary skill...

It depends on your weight and ALGs. For .5 ALG speed dots (HBs, CBs), I like going min weight and 15 initial sps into speed to get it to 27. Enhance once. Train on intense until you can enhance again. Train on intense until day 48. Buy 1 sp with BTs and cap at 49 at level one. Boost 3 times. Train on intense until day -1. Cap at 61.5 at level four.

I do a very similar method, but I make sure to get a training bonus on one of the first few trainings. It brings the dots primary skill to 34 by day 48, and I can avoid spending the 15 BTs for a SP.

When I was questioned more on the matter....

Before last season, I used the 4 trainings I had upon creation....if one of the 4 trainings got me a bonus, I kept the dot. If no bonus, I retired and recreated.

With the change made last season that gives TPs to all newly created dots as if they were created on day 40, I made all of my dots on day 48....that way, I had 12 chances at a training bonus. If the primary skill hit 34, I kept it. If not, retire and try again. However, I spent much less time recreating dots this past season....

The OP's fix wouldn't stop me....I would just continue to build dots until I got the primary skill to 34. Then I would retire the other dots later.

But, this is all water under the bridge....go sit down with the VPB and figure this crap out another way.....that's what many others have already done.

Well GLB's biggest issue was server resources. This would stop that problem. And from a math point of view..you wouldn't get many of the quad training bonuses they were trying to get with 4 times an hour.

So how about 4 new dot retirements per day? Why do you need to retire more than 4 new dots per day unless you are using a script?
