Post week 8, we're sitting half way through the regular season. I figured I'd toss out some power rankings since no one else has.

1. New Brunswick Scarlet Knights
Aside from the obvious 8-0-0, probably the most well rounded offense in the league. They're currently #1 in the league for both rushing and passing yards. Not to mention the fact that their defense is top 5 in most stats. This club is definately the one to beat in the East, and in my opinion, overall. With Lima seemingly being the only heavy hitter left on their regular season schedule, can they go undefeated?

I recently had a chance to sit down with New Brunswick owner Nike-Joe and pick his brain on a few subjects:

M: So Joe, what do you feel you've done to improve your team so far this season thats gotten you the 8-0-0 record?

J: We haven't done anything differently this season. We got to first place by attrition because Manhattan left and Chicago imploded. It has been kind of boring actually.

M: Who do you think has given you the toughest game so far this season?

J: We were most worried about New York. But Atlanta Wolves actually played us toughest in my opinion.

M: Who are you not looking forward to playing in the playoffs?

J: New York

M: What advice would you give to the teams in our league who are seriously struggling to buy a win?

J: Time is on your side.

M: Thanks for your time, Joe.

J: Thank you as well, Morphius. By the way I must say, you look just dashing in that suit of yours. You're really a handsome man.

M: Why thank you, Joe. You're not to bad yourself.

2. Lima Lemurs
One of the top five rushing teams in the league, this team is plowing their way to the respect they deserve. With only a couple tough games left on the schedule, a rock solid defense and sniper for a kicker, can they pull off the flawless victory?

I should also be able to steal a moment of the The Hawk's time here in a little while. I'll post the interview when its done.

3. New York Strikers
With a very solid roster that includes star Quarter Back Robert Starr, the Strikers are looking to ride that #2 seed all the way into the playoffs to get their eventual rematch with New Brunswick. The road ahead looks fairly clear.

4. Rapid City Rushmores
After the upsetting loss to the DVD Talk Otters, the Rushmores', with their fear inspiring defense, will be looking to crack some skulls @ Lima in a few weeks and regain their status as "the other possible top team in the West".

5. Miami Makos
The Makos, looking to get back on track after the 31 point loss to New Brunswick, will keep their eyes fixed firmly on New York as they look to grab ahold of that 2nd seed in week 13. Pending any upsets, the road to week 13 looks broad and spacious. Can Miami pull it off? A skeptic such as myself, would feel doubtful.

6. DVD Talk Otters
Playing with a revamped roster and a determination to prove themselves the Otters will be coming into the 2nd half of the season strong. After putting an end to the rushmores 7-0-0 run last night they will be playing with a newly found confidence. They have most definately turned some heads and will be looking to turn a few more in week 12 by knocking off the C-Bucs and owning that 3rd seed.

Says the obnoxious dancing monkey with poor capitalization.

[ sarcasm ] Next time, I'll make sure to run my spell check before making nonchalant posts about fake football teams in the forum of the sim game I play. Or maybe I'll just have jkdog855 post for me, since I can't count past six. [ /sarcasm ]

That's exactly why I never accept interview requests. Well that, and the fact that I've never been asked to given an interview.
