Sick of loosing in the playoffs.

I know it's going to revolve around how much my QB can step up.

What should I have his tactics at? I got it at 42 towards Route Distance right now and I think -42 towards Bullet pass.

I'm looking at your last 3 games and I see that you get hurried a decent amount (34%, 29%, and 40% of pass plays starting with the latest game to 3 games ago) and deflected quite a bit (36%, 35%, and 27%). I think I'd try going with 25 route distance and -75 bullet pass to alleviate both of those issues. There doesn't seem to be too many dropped passes by your targets but upping the bullet could lead to more. I would adjust throwing style based on maintaining a drop rate of about 1 per 10 atts. You might want to watch to see if the hurries improve and adjust route distance based on whether it doesn't improves or gets to be too good. You need to find the right balance in those settings to maximize your comp % and yds/att.

What about favoring the deep pass?

Or will that cause my guy to hold the ball to long, and or miss more passes?

I don't think it will cause your guy to hold on to the ball longer. That's determined more by the open man/route distance tactic. At least that is how I understand it. Here is a link that I think will help you understand passing better...and receiving if you're interested in that too.

no, it will, at least on avg
in so far as you will be less likley to target the short routes,
your QB will look for the deeper routes, which tend to take longer to develop
so, for that reason, yr QB is likely to hold onto the ball longer

personally, id have yr OC adjust the read progressions,
before you go messing with 'favor long passes'
in fact even if u wnt to favor long passes, id go with route dist before i checked that box
of course there are so many variables, its best to expirement to see how yr tactics work with the offensive system...
however, being that play-offs start tommorow might now b the best time to be expirementing

well, problem with route dist is it can cause you to ignore wide open backs, at least in some plays
until they get further upfield (at which point they might be covered)
for many reasons i say its best to got at it from a coordinating perspective

Well I am the offensive coordinator of my QB... so I can basically work it how I need too.

We made it to the Championship game, but I'm not sure if I've improved my QB play because my guys completion percentage has been near a season low in the playoffs.. just barely over 50%. Could be the good teams we've played too though.

My guy was hitting a lot of HB passes... got our HB to be the leading receiver actually, over 1000 yards receiving... I think it was because I had route distance down further because now in the playoffs he's not hitting the HB like he was in the regular season.

Not sure if I should regress back to hitting the HB who often gets 100 yard games or if I should stick trying to pass it down the field.

I mean we've been winning in the playoffs here, but its been a tough run... won our first game by 2 and our second by 4.
