Not sure if this one has been tabled, but just a thought..

After watching some of my dots in 255-0 games, has it become time to empower the CPU players so they are not mere pylons?

Admittedly you want to encourage real players to be on teams, but every league seems to have the blowout patty-cake teams...

I'm not saying make them superstars but maybe 80 -0 blowouts.... not 255 point drubbings that skew stats, standings etc, and are just a waste of time....

It's important that CPU players be worse than even very poorly built players of the league's age range, so that even very poorly built players can get teams. When they are worse enough like that, you're going to get 255-0 games.

They did make them better and set off the cry babies who lost to them so they rolled it back some. It is another back and forth side game that GLB has become.

Agreed Ken...

But these CPU players are 100 times wore than the worst built human player.. All I'm saying is maybe tune them down to 20 times worse....

Yeah, like has been said, they were made more viable to use, and more competitive to play against, but too many bad coordinators were losing to all-cpu teams, so it got dialled back.

You'd be surprised....CPUs can still be better than some humans.

I think there is something in place right now that if your team has over 10 cpus then it takes a 25% hit or something huge. That is likely the biggest issue.

This.

I'm not sure if it's the CPU players that need to be adjusted as much as it's team tactics that need to be adjusted once a game gets into blowout territory. Once a team is ahead by 100+ points there's no way they should keep playing as hard. I'm not sure if the sim adjusts play intensity for a team that is winning in a blowout, but it should. Yes, I know this is a game and not real football, but 255-0 should never happen. Maybe just stop the game if a team is up by more than 100 points. There's really no need for more stat padding when it's clear who has won the game.

They should be trying to eliminate CPU players all together, not make them better.

Yep.

I agree with the OP that CPU dots should be better but the GLB userbase has repeated thrown fits when CPU teams do even moderately decent against the very worst human teams. imo the worst human teams should lose to CPU teams all the time, decent human teams should lose to the CPU occasionally, particularly if they don't scout and even great teams should get better than 255-0 but the everyone deserves a trophy crowd is strong with this userbase. Look no further than that stupid undo thread on the front page on this forum and you'll see that some people in this game are really afraid of trying.

Why is that important?

Very poorly built dots shouldn't be good.
