Once again I am watching a replay and see the guy I assigned to man cover a RB instantly sprinting to his secondary assignment the moment the ball is snapped, only to then have to turn around and come back to the RB as he comes out on his route, which of course leaves the RB wide open for a pass.

This has happened so often thats its really driving me nuts Whats the point of secondary assignments and weak side strong side RB coverage if they screw up the defense?

PLEASE make a defender in man coverage on a RB actually wait to see if the RB is running a route before moving to the secondary assignment.

And before you blame the dot, the dot in this instance has a vision of 82.

Heres the current example, but its happened many many times - the LOLB is man cover HB strong then secondary to a strong side zone. He goes straight to the zone.

EDIT

As suggested below, if this is not a bug to be fixed but rather a design choice, then could we at least have a say in the form of a slider bar? Similar to the aggression slider, you could choose to spend more time eyeballing your man assignment to see if he is running a route or not, or less. The more you look the slower you are to move to your next assignment.

reduce the aggressiveness in tactics, that will reduce. move the coverage guy closer to the box it will reduce.

Okay, first off the whole point is to not have to have the guy on the line but to let the receiver come to him as to your second point.

And how does changing aggressiveness make a difference here? You mean more aggressive?

If you would stop being so argumentative maybe people would take the time to explain things to you. it is funny how you are the one that is always posting these problems that not many other people post about. sort of makes me wonder just how well you know the game at all.

You sir are no Edison. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grandiose_delusions

-1 Can be easily accomplished by using the tactics already in the game.

Tactics. Get off simi aggressive on coverage, go lose and make a bigger coverage cushion. The defender won't try to close as fast. Of course, just like that simi aggressive tactic you are probably using now, it has a down side. Instead of getting busted on as he does now, if you use tactics similar to what I wrote, you wont be making interceptions and the HB will almost always make his catch/run.

Edit - nevermind, I was in the wrong thread on that reply. Let me look at this later. Thanks.

Yello1 I do not think he missed the OP's scenario I think the OP came off his meds. the guy is trying to actually help you out he actually looked at the replay and took the time to entertain your suggestion. and instead of just taking that and not trying to draw him back into a argument. you do the opposite and try to act like the guys reading comprehension is way off. you try to act as if the guy cannot understand what you said. but the kicker is that he does understand and he told you a way to fix the problem you posted.

so my question to you is instead of looking like a pompous ass why not take the advice and see if it works. then if it doesn't and you have proof that it doesn't you post it and continue with the arguement. if it does work then you move onto one of the other 50 suggestions you will have made in that time frame.
