We are hitting the end of the first quarter of the season and this week we have some
interesting matches.

East:
#5 Denver Giant 9'ers vs. #2 Nashville Hounds - Denver has been getting it done
this season; an impressive 175 pts scored to 30 pts given up. Richey Royals may have
been a bit over matched, but they were still able to put up some points.
Nashville showed a solid win over College Station, but had 2 softer games bracket it.
Unbeaten matchup: Nashville has the stat nudge, but Denver has been solid in all the
matches so far.
Prediction: 30-31

#6 College Station Aggies vs. #1 "The Combine's" Tennessee Fury -
College Station is sitting at 2-1 with a pair of easier teams and 1 pretty rough
loss to Nashville.
Tennessee had 1 closer game vs. Sin City in week 1, but since then they have not
giving up a point. It may be the caliber of their opponent or strength of their D.
On stats, Tennessee gets the edge, but this one will be a turnover away from a win
either way.
Prediction: 27-34

#7 Atlantic City Affliction vs. #3 Las Vegas Gold Diggers -
Atlantic City could not get a point on Tennessee in week 2 and their 2 wins were
not overly impressive, solid but not dominant.
Las Vegas has rolled up points, but their 1 true test was Monmouth in week 1.
Vegas has the line on the skill players.
Prediction: 24-44

#8 All The King's Men vs. #9 Fat lot of help you guys are - ATKM has been
typically solid, so their one drubbing by Oakland is a bit of a surprise. Their
other 2 games had both teams pretty close (21 points is a bit, but the Richey
Royals were giving up 7 levels).
Fat lot put up some good numbers this season, but being -9 levels against ATKM is
going to be a lot to overcome
Prediction: 49-24

#4 Oakland Suppressors vs. #12 Richey Royals - Oakland has been getting
it done, hell or high water. Beating rival ATKM was a confidence booster.
Richey Royals has been right were I expected them to be, close to breaking into
the higher ranks...little more seasoning and they will be rolling up the Wins.
Prediction: 44-28

#14 Fargo Finatics vs. #10 Philadelphia SEXY Demonik - Fargo has not point
a point on the board.
Phily has the edge in player #s and levels and etcetera.
Prediction: 0-50

#11 OffTopica Grace vs. #15 Grid Iron Valor - OffTopica gets the bye week
vs. Grid Iron.
Prediction: 99+-0

#13 Kenosha Creepers vs. #16 Guam Tigers - Kenosha gets the CPU treatment.
Prediction: 99+-0

West:
#8 Michigan Mutants vs. #7 Bay Area Bombers - Michigan seems to have a solid
defense this season; they have only given up 24 and 25 in their 2 losses and blanked
Covington. Their weakness has been an offense that has only been able to post a total
of 31 points.
The Bombers posted a couple easy wins this season, but when the rubber had to meet
the pavement vs. 5th Masterminds their offense was gone.
Flip a coin on this one, it could go either direction.
Prediction: 27-30

#6 Monmouth Evil Monkeys vs. #3 American Terrorists - Monmouth dropped their
week 1 match up, then went to work with wins over Canton and Arkham. The Monkeys may
have their gameplan sorted and ready to roll out the wins.
American Terrorists sit at 3-0, but the had a soft start to the season with meeting
Eastern 0-3 Grid Iron Valor, 0-3 Inner City Fieldsmiths, and 0-3 Sin City Spoilers.
Hard game to gauge as Terrorists have not really shown much of their hand yet.
Prediction: 45-27

#11 Detroit Mission Stars vs. #12 Happy Valley Whiteout -a pair of 1 - 3 teams lock
up. Detroit was able to beat up on Guam in the 1st week, but since then they had
loses up against the #1 South Georgia and the Bay Area Bombers.
Happy Valley took their 1st week win over OffTopica and then fell to #2 5th Masterminds
and #5 Stormwind City.
I am giving the nod to Happy Valley on their stronger WR and HB corps, but Detroit
could go pass happy on the arm of G Money Fleming.
Prediction: 33-42

#5 Stormwind City Gryphons vs. #9 Arkham Asylum Jokers - Stormwind posted a
14 point loss to All The King's Men from the East, then roll up Happy Valley and
Canton. All the right parts in all the right places.
Arkham has been just out of reach of 2 wins over Oakland and Monmouth. A few less
turnovers and those games are theirs.
This would be my Turn the Corner game for Arkham, but they still have top end teams
to face in the next 4 games.
Prediction: 27-33

#13 Sin City Spoilers vs. #10 Tulsa Storm - Sin City has been 6 & 7 points from
looking at 2-1 instead of 0-3. A nudge here, a broken tackle there and they would be
rolling well.
Tulsa had been struggling to find their running game, but then had a solid win over
the Fieldsmiths on the legs of HB Scary Hary.
I like this match up, but I think Tulsa's running & blocking will win this one out.
Prediction: 23-27

#15 Inner City Fieldsmiths vs. #4 Chicago Hedgehogs - Inner City has been
struggling this season on offense with their best outting being against American
Terrorists.
Chicago has been solid on D, which has turned into plenty of points on the scoreboard.
Look for Chicago to maintain their momentum.
Prediction: 13-130

#2 5th Masterminds vs. #14 Canton Bulldogs - 5M has been living better through
chemistry this season...after pulling out the 12 point win in week 1, they put the
heat on and have rolled Bay Area and Happy Valley.
Canton has met all strong teams this season, too bad they are looking at another one.
Prediction: 38-28

#16 Covington Black Knights vs. #1 SOUTH GEORGIA GROWL - SOUTH GEORGIA has been
solid from start to finish so far this season...no point allowed after 3 games.
The Black Knights have looked like they already had both arms and legs chopped off
this season with little offense showing.
Growl has rolled the competition so far...don't see that changing.
Prediction: 0-255

Good writeup.

Denver appear to care more than Nashville at the moment which might swing that game.

Nashville is like a fart this season.

Silent but deadly.

Nice writeup but I don't see Atlantic City staying within 40 of Vegas.
