my proposal is that instead of having an over all run/pass percentage. allow us to pick a percentage for each individual formation. i may want to pass 100% out of the spread offense and run 100% out of Big I. for example: as of right now it is a game of chance. i hope that when it calls a play from the spread formation that its a pass play like i want.
this could work on both sides of the ball. the defense can choose if they want to run a run%/pass% defense against, or out of any certain formation.
i believe keeping everything in percentages still keeps that casual aspect, while allowing to be more specific in our scouting and play calling
Edit: (added after comments) i dont see this taking anything away from the game being casual. as of right now we run on percentages and hope the sim fires our way. by implementing this into the game, it wont give any more work to game planning, and it will hopefully take the randomness out of the sims. we still dont get to pick the plays, but i like the idea of being able to throw 100% out of shotgun, but then turn around and run 100% out of Big I if i choose to do so. ive scouted many games, and based my scouting off of % and i usually see the run will work out of a formation, but the pass wont work out of that same formation. if i choose to use that certain formation i am setting my team up to fail and i dont like that.
