Alright, so Playoffs really just decide who gets 1st and who the first loser is. So... I came up with this little idea

In the Conference championship game, the losers of both of those games, would go on to face for the 3rd place position. (Not saying this would add a trophy but it would allow people to want to play until that last game)

This is just a basic idea of it, and I thought it would be something fun to have. Give some feedback

what is the difference in 3rd and 4rth neither makes a difference. there is no trophy there is no reward to finishing 2nd or 3rd. so to me it would be a waste of time.

They do play but it is a scrimmage.

Basically this. It's already in place. Just most times people don't give a damn at that point and you end up with 2 conf finals losing teams playing their losing AI/tactics that they used against the conf winners.

Don't see any reason to try to make something more out of it than it is. If you want to know who the third place team is, look at the last scrimmage of the conf final losers and there you go.

The 3rd place trophy/game has been suggested atleast 3 times in the last 2 months. Really need to get a search feature to eliminate duplicate posting of suggestions. I would link them, but would take to too long to hunt down... due to no search feature, ahem.

So, you're suggesting the runners up from each conference meet in an inter-conference game to decide who gets the bronze medal for the league? This isn't the olympics.
