21 days seems alittle long for a season thats only 50 days long..

You do realize that teams get fucked over every season by teams being purchased midseason? Especially when it comes down to a points against tie breaker. Other teams in the conference get penalized more by the current system than the owner that has sold back.

I agree that teams definitely shouldn't be available for purchase mid season, and honestly Bort shouldn't allow them to be sold in the middle of the season either. There is a system in place where players can release themselves if an owner goes inactive for a period of time, make them hold on to the teams until day 40 and these issues go away.
Still I think it's a bad idea to lessen the disincentive to people selling off their teams only to turn around and buy new ones so -1 to the OP
