when creating a player, there's a submit button after choosing a name and position and it seem the player is alive (and flex is debited) as soon as this is done...it should be much later--preferably after seeing the height/weight options or AT choices... there should be a final "create this guy this will cost flex" choice after all the steps, not after the first.

This will save time and effort of re-doing guys that are instantly retired--let you click the "back" button and change something. Until the WIki is fully up-to-date and accurate, there is no way to see the full range of choices in creating a player than to create one then retire it.

It might even be nice to have a "test build" section--where you can go through all the steps of creating a player that you know will not be real and won't cost flex if you just want to test something out.

huh? no, i mean in the actual process of creating a player, don't have it be final until the end (4th or 5th step) rather than the first step.

this is useful as long as the [use reward points] box is default checked. Otherwise just retire them for full refund. Yea , it's a time sink , but not game breaking.

Already a thread on the reward checkbox thing

I see what fogie is saying and i'd +1 it. I've "created" players just to take a look at something but not wanting to actually create a player. But the way things are implemented now, once you reach the SP assignment page, you have a created player.

It's not a huge issue but makes sense, you should be allowed to go back and forth among the creation process without a player being made until you click a final "Create player" button at the end of the process.

Same here especially with positions I don't have much experience with. Even if its just to save a little time. +1

OP, what do you need to see?

This:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=3768138

The only thing missing is the actual + or - on attributes when shifting picks for height and weight of player

actually I dont think you even need to make it to the SP assignment page. Name a dot, choose his position, once you move past that he is created and charge you for it.

edit* you don't even choose the archetype yet, or bonus SA. At least I think that is how it happens, which is why it is crucial to un check that "use reward points" box. Unless of course you want to create a player using reward points.

+1. I've done test builds before (and retired for a full refund) and I'd prefer it the way the OP suggests. It would be awful if I ever wasted Bonus Points on a test player.
