That sucks, but look at my record in the gold playoffs. I have made the playoffs 14 times and made it past the 2nd round 3 times and those were all together in seasons 16-18. The gold playoffs seem to be the one thing I can't do. I have 4 playoff wins combined in the last 7 seasons, and I can never put anything together there no matter what I do in the regular season or tournaments. My problem is one of two things: either other people try harder in the playoffs and I don't and that causes me to lose or my team builds or tactics don't work as well later in the season which has been amplified the last two seasons.

ZMJ - your Ds are solid - my guess is the main reason is builds.

build efficiency is key - I have NEVER worried about what my builds look like early. Day 34 builds are all that matter....so you have to plan for maximum build efficiency with day 34 in mind. don't worry about drops/stamina/pump fake or anything early....


Jkid- I think build efficiency has hurt you since the new accelerated player dev too. Also, not sure if you are still doing this, but you used to be VERY predictable.. QB rusher TE blocker 100% run every time. QB Passer TE receiver, 100% pass. I didn't pay enough attention to your games the last 2 seasons to see if you have changed your play calling tendencies.

I agree with all of this, but my main problem is that I can't have a good offense and a good defense in the same season as I don't really have time to perfect both. This season, I was very happy with my defense, but I hated my offense. However, for seasons 22-24, I loved my offense but my defense let me down. The only seasons I really had both a good offense and a good defense were 16 and 18, both of which worked out very well for me.

It's tough to do everything....I agree. and Pee Wee makes it more difficult because your late season defenses from the previous season don't perform well early.
