EDIT When I had this go through my head, I , for some reason, forgot that players have not stopped aging yet this season. Brain Fart. Still it is gonna suck to jump up 2 league tiers. So instead it will be 7 days to old, not just 1

When they did the age conversion for APD and the new ever changing age league structure, something was done wrong.

This is the new age league structure:

Season 25

0 - Rookie
1-40 - Sophomore
21-80 - Prep
61-100 - University
81-120 - Local Minor
101-140 - Regional Minor
121-160 - National Minor
141-200 - Semi Pro
181-Uncapped - Regional Pro
221-Uncapped - National Pro/World League

Season 26

0- Rookie
1-40 - Prep
21-80 - University
61-120 - Local Minor
101-140 - Regional Minor
121-160 - National Minor
141-200 - Semi Pro
181-Uncapped - Regional Pro
221-Uncapped - National Pro/World League

Season 27

0 - Rookie
1-40 - Prep

So, this team http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=165 is currently in the Regional Minors.
There is 1 player that is 166 days old.

The other 54 players on the team are 161 days old. We could easily replace the 1 older dot. But because the rest of the players are 161 (instead of 160 days old) the team will jump 2 age leagues in season 26.

0- Rookie
1-40 - Prep
21-80 - University
61-120 - Local Minor
101-140 - Regional Minor <--current teams location
121-160 - National Minor
141-200 - Semi Pro <-- jumping up to here


Because of 1 day in age. Somebody messed up when they figured out the age adjustments at the APD conversion.

if it was already season 26 now, and we went to Season 27 leagues, it would not have affected anything

Season 27

0 - Rookie
1-40 - Prep
21-80 - University
61-120 - Regional Minor
101-160 - National Minor
141-180 Lower Semi Pro <-- would have played this season here
161-200 - Semi Pro <--and jumped up 1 tier the following season (as it should be)

I seriously doubt my team is the only one facing this problem.

I realize there is nothing support can do about this, they aint gonna roll back players ages 1 day.

Still, I wanted to vent my frustration over this bad work on someones part. Next season we can look forward to playing against dots nearly an entire season ahead of us. Because the conversion of ages added that 1 extra day and they made the age structure the way it is. Not supposed to work this way IMO. We never tried gaming any system, but the system is gaming us.

A team should not be jumping up 2 tiers. Unlike many seasons ago when you could request that , or just where because you performed so well in the level based leagues.

So I suggest they add / change the age leagues to this for season 26:


Season 26

0- Rookie
1-40 - Prep
21-80 - University
61-120 - Local Minor
101-140 - Regional Minor
121-161 - National Minor
141-200 - Semi Pro
181-Uncapped - Regional Pro
221-Uncapped - National Pro/World League


regional-pro starts at age 181-200, and national pro starts from 221-uncapped, so why cant National Minors end at 161?

Long story short ,

I am saying that national minor should end at age 161 , much like regional pro starts at 181 and national pro starts at age 221. That 1 day KILLS some teams in season 26

sleep deprivation has caused me to forget it's not day 40 yet, and dots are still aging.... but it still sucks that MANY teams will be forced to jump up 2 age leagues instead of the usual 1. I went through a lot of teams through out all the regional minor leagues and seen over a dozen other teams this will affect besides just mine.

Will crush our team next season. We couldn't compete in Regional Minor Elite, now we'll get two seasons of Semi-Pro with the first being really nasty.

+1 I agree. My team with be 7 days too old, yet have to play dots up to 200 days old. 30+ days is quite a bit. I'd rather not have to do that because Bort & Co. couldn't figure out how to properly structure the in-between leagues.

And the worst part is that it seems to only affect teams this season.

Granted my math was way off on in my OP (because of my thinking players already stopped aging this season ) but I am not seeing this kind of issue next season. If it is not to late to make some kind of adjustment , it sure would be nice. The core of my team has been together since they was day 0 dots, with the intent to grow together. We are not going to cut half the team to stay competitive, but going from good to bad is gonna stink.

+1, my whole team of 11 day old dots (built during off season like all other dots) will get shoved into the same leagues as players built an entire season before ours due to how the APD changed player ages.

It'd be nice if some though was put towards it, because not only will our team not be able to compete with the older dots (in Elite no less), but the individual dots on the team will not be able to join a team and be competitive with other dots in the same league.

Their is an entire season of dots that will have 2 horribly uncompetitive seasons due to the way APD changed player age. Please let's get this fixed somehow before next season starts, I don't want to play against teams a full season older than us for 2 straight seasons, especially when our players are still in the capped age leagues. We did nothing wrong and all built dots on Day 41, please don't punish us.
