Sorry these are late. Busy weekend. Enjoy!

WESTERN
1 Vancouver Lions vs 8 Sin City Spoilers
The Lion's quest for perfection continues this week as they face an 8-8 Spoilers team that they beat in week 6 by 28 points. The outcome will probably be similar again as the Lions move on to the 2nd round.

2 5th Masterminds vs 7 Stormwind Gryphons
5th comes into this game on a 6 win streak that started after a narrow loss to the Lions. Stormwind seemed to get the season off to a great start but when it was all over they only managed to beat 1 playoff team which does not bode well for them this week.

3 Chicago vs 6 Tulsa Storm
The Hedgehogs get a first round match-up against a team they took down in week 8 by a score of 55-7. The Storm have been up and down against playoff teams this season and will need to play at their best to turn that score in their favor. It may be closer this time but I still see the Hedgehogs pulling out the win.

4 Monmouth Evil Monkeys vs 5 South Georgia Growl
The Monkeys haven't lost a game since week 7 which was, coincidentally, a game against the Growl. Meanwhile the Growl seemed to have packed it in through the final stretch of the season once a playoff spot was guaranteed. This could turn into a defensive slugfest and in the end I'm going to give MEM a narrow edge to get their revenge for that earlier loss.

EASTERN
1 South Otto Fragile Porcelain Mice vs The Combines Tennessee Fury
The Mice are in the same boat as the Lions trying to make a bid at an undefeated since. Meanwhile the Fury edged out the Hounds for the 8th seed by taking down ATKM in week 16. It was a great effort but the rewards will be short lived as the Mice dominate this game early.

2 Oakland Suppressors vs 7 All The Kings Men
Oaklands lost 2 games this season. One to the frontrunners in the East, the Mice, and the other to the Men. The Men on the other hand seemed to have lost some steam midway through the season with some tough losses. Very unpredictable game here and I'm going to go with the Men by a slight margin.

3 Las Vegas Gold Diggers vs 6 Atlantic City Affliction
The Diggers were an early pick of mine to finish up in the top 4 and never let me down all season even after a rough start to the season that included 3 losses in the first 5 weeks. Those losses all came against some tough squads and since then the Diggers have gone undefeated. ACA has played some damn fine dotball this season but I have to go with one of my early season top 4 to take this one.

4 College Station Aggies vs 5 Denver Giant 49ers
The Aggies lost 2 games by a combined 9 points this season and dropped a game to the Mice by 15. A tough draw for any team and Denver will have their hands full. Last time they played Denver fell by 14. This time, I predict a much closer game and a 49ers upset.

Great read. I was hoping to get one of these this am.

I am not cocky, but I am with you. I like our chances this time around. Aggies are tough, but it is a good matchup and with the right bounces Denver can show well IMO. Will be one of the best games in the first round for sure.

I just wish you were a LITTLE more wrong on this one.

WESTERN
1 Vancouver Lions vs 4 Monmouth Evil Monkeys
The Lions will have their hands full this with MEMs top ranked passing O but the Lions do boast the #1 pass D and #2 run D in the conference. With the Lions giving up 44 sacks this season the play of their OL could be the pivotal component in this game. These teams squared off early in the season when MEM was struggling and the Lions took it by 7 points. I see the Lions bid at a perfect season to be in serious jeopardy here and when it's all over I see the Monkeys advancing with an upset over the top seed.

3 Chicago vs 7 Stormwind Gryphons
Stormwind proved me wrong last week thanks in large part to a stellar defensive outing. Can their D play like that again this week? One thing is certain, if the Gryphons are going to advance any further they need the offense to hold up their end against a Hedgehogs squad that finished the season with the #1 rushing attack and was tops in the conference in scoring. I see Chicago taking this one as Stormwinds defense fails to hold them in check for a full 4 quarters.

EASTERN
1 South Otto Fragile Porcelain Mice vs 5 Denver Giant 49ers
What can you say about the Mice at this point besides get the hell out already. They lead the conference in total offense, passing yards, points scored, total defense, run defense and points allowed. They've turned the ball over 18 times versus 48 takeaways. They're just in a class all their own right now. I think Denver is going to be scary good next season but this season is all about the Mice and they'll continue towards 20-0 with a win here.

3 Las Vegas Gold Diggers vs 7 All The Kings Men
Out of the remaining match-ups this one I think will be the best game of the bunch when all is said and done. Both teams boast solid squads with the Diggers passing attack helping them have the #2 O in the conference. The Men aren't far behind, with the 3rd ranked offense, but they are far more balanced. The Men will need to slow down that passing game if they want to advance and after a rocky season I'm not sure if they can. They did take the week 3 match-up by 3 points but neither of these teams look like they did early in the season with the Diggers turning things around and the Men taking a step back. I've got to go with the Diggers to take this one unless the Men have an answer to stop that passing game.

Not looking forward to the late night/early morning boosting.....hopefully it gives us the edge though. Denver and Las Vegas probably feel the same way.

It is tonight right?
