No. Bama only lost to LSU and pretty much destroyed all their other competition. Oklahoma State lost to Iowa State where they were 27 point favorites and Iowa State was barley able to beat Kansas, UCONN, and Northern Iowa who are all very bad teams.

No chance

The numbers I saw yesterday was Ok-State had to be 2nd on 25% of the ballots and 3rd on the rest, and it looks like they were on 40% 2nd place on the AP (Which isn't factored into the BCS, but could be used as a representative sample for what the other polls may look like).

on the outside looking in on the Big Money Bowls. Is Virginia Tech really that much of a better money grab than Arkansas?

VT travels well. Arkansas, as well as S.Carolina, can't go due to 2 teams from SEC going already. Baylor lost to K.State, but that doesn't matter for selection. Non-automatic bids go to most bankable team. I would have thought that would be K.State, but being out of the national limelight for so long has hurt the program's recognition. We can at least thank god Notre Dame wasn't in Top 8 which is an auto-bid for them.

But I agree, Sugar bowl is a money-seeking joke of a bowl this year. Rose and Fiesta should be shoot outs, but you never know. They at least got the national championship right and I hope it's not another 9-6 bout.

Michigan going for their first BCS Bowl win since Tom Brady defeated Alabama on good looks alone.
