Every other season it seems I get stuck with red inactive players after the trade deadline. I can understand not being able to cut active guys and stack your team for the playoffs but with the new system that was put in place they fall behind way to fast to be effective even 5 days later.

Please allow us to cut red inactive guys only and sign replacements.

wouldn't same problems and potential for exploits still exist? i'd +1 to cutting, but guys signed after the trade deadline would have to come from D-leagues, CPU teams or existing free agents only-- can't allow an eliminated team to cut guys and essentially transfer them to another team that's still alive in playoffs, especially when one agent can own several teams and/or one network/alliance could just wholesale shift guys around from team to team.

Maybe also have a limit of post-deadline cuts/signings of 2 or 3 per team.

Playoff teams already can't sign guys and still wouldn't be able to even with this provision.

Teams in the playoffs shouldn't be allowed to make any moves as it is now, however once a team is eliminated from the playoffs, they should be able to make whatever player moves they want. The remaining salary issue can be addressed and I see no other exploit that really matters. Networks are do already and are going to continue to move guys "wholesale".

And only for lower tiered teams. Cutting inactives from higher level teams is pretty retarded.
