To All:

I'm writing this as an informational piece. I do not care about your views of my actions nor do I seek your approval. I am only wishing to inform you of the situation because the GLB Admin Staff is probably overworked as it is and I would hate for some of you to flood their inbox with even more PMs.

Sprovo is gone. As of tomorrow he will have been inactive for two weeks. I am seeking to become the owner of the USAORG Vacationers. I feel as though I should have the right to purchase the team because I have been an active GM since season one, I am on the waiting list, and I have been calling plays for the team since season one.

As for two of Sprovo's other teams, the USAORG Border Jumpers and USAORG Exiles, we are slated to lose those franchises. We may be losing the franchises, but we are going to do everything in our power to keep our players who wish to stay apart of our organization.

This game has rules in place to prevent gutting and collusion. As such, I cannot release my entire roster so that they may be free from an owner they will not know. I can only trade them out once every twelve days and I can only cut two human players per day. That being said, we are making roster moves to get our players off our two dying franchises.

If you look at our two dying franchises, they each have trade pending next to several players. In the days ahead, you will continue to see that. You will also continue to see the finances of both teams untouched so the future owner will inherit a franchise with million of dollars in the bank and a nicely constructed stadium. I was told that "resetting" franchises was not something the admins typically did. Congrats to the future owner.

We, the remaining GMs of USAORG have chosen to start making these moves because of the time involved. GLB Admin Staff tends to step in two weeks after an owner has gone inactive and I cannot afford to see players stuck on dying franchises. If they will release players on both rosters that would be a big help, but considering it takes up to 48 hours for PM responses, I cannot afford waiting when we risk losing ownership of those franchises tomorrow. In the meantime, players will be offered contracts that expire on Day 40.

In closing, I've chosen to make this public so that haters of our organization can have a place to bitch, whine, moan, complain, or call me a roster dumper/day-trader/son of a bitch in one place. Feel free to lodge all your complaints of collusion and cheating here also. I only wanted to give you a public place to do it to save on the PM workload of the staff of this game.

Thanks.

We are sending out contracts that end at seasons end. Beware that if you accept a new contract you will have time to wait before we can cut you. So worse case you'll just be stuck to seasons end.

Franchises aren't dying if they have a new active owner.

Sounds like a pathetic attempt to justify you gutting two competitive teams to me. Appoint new GMs, work with the GLB staff to get teams transferred, and be done with it.

otherwise, you're 'organization' is no better then anyone else who's gutted a team - for example, 1/3 of USA Pro league.

No, they aren't dying in the sense they are "dead", but our claim to them is gone and if people do not wish to stay on the team, I feel as an active GM it is my duty to attempt to move them where they request. If your franchise was getting a new owner tomorrow, would you want to stay on the team or would you want to sign somewhere you have friends?

As for working with the GLB staff, I've been in PMs this week with Thorn, along with other GMs we have.

I guess we are truly "gutting" franchises considering the two we are leaving behind will have millions of dollars in the bank along with all the money spent on stadium construction. Not to mention the roster will be filled with players who have contracts that expire on Day 40, so they will have no salary to deal with and can build their team from scratch. That is a hell of a better deal than you would get starting out with the standard amount of cash.

I just find it hysterical looking back at all their recruiting bullshit at end of last season... "Join 7 teams who are proven winners and are part of an orgnization that does nothing but win" and all the sheep that flocked to those posts and wouldn't talk to any other owners because they bought into .... what at the time .... I even called a Warren Jeff's like recruitment letter that was PLASTERED all over the TEAMS LOOKING FOR PLAYERS threads...

It sounded and wreaked of being a bad ponzi scheme... I was laughing then but I'm laughing even harder now...

Damn man, I hope Sprovo is alright. I played under him in season 1 and he was very passionate about GLB. Seems kind of odd that he would just bail when his empire was becoming so successful.

Even if the ORG loses two teams we still have 5 and will continue to grow. Some of the players on those teams are happy with the ORG and would rather stay in the ranks than anything else. I'm not sure, because I haven't discussed it with Blurev, but some may be going to teams outside the ORG also. Also, I'm sure some are staying on the rosters on the two teams.

You know, the funny thing is about "the org" is that in reality, we're just like most of you. Hell, the whole reason I'm apart of this is because I answered a recruitment ad from Sprovo in Season 1. If not for that, I might be a teammate of yours.

Even though we have a name, as you can see across GLB there are several groups of friends that all seem to be on the GM list of the same teams. They may not have a name, but the principal is still the same. We were brought together under Sprovo who is now gone for whatever reason. As far as that goes, he walked out on us as far as I'm concerned. That aside, friendships were built and I enjoy talking to the people I've met on Yahoo every day.

The competitive nature of the game is going to get in the way from time to time and I'm sure conspiracy theories will abound, but at the end of the day rather than wait until tomorrow and see if we have a CPU owner, we chose to be proactive about trying to relocate our players to teams either under the "USAORG" in name, or just owned/GM'ed by an Agent who had players within our circle.

By the way, for the original three teams, this season was a clusterfuck with expanding so big so soon. SProvo was great at the business end and HR sense of this game, not so much at some other things. Either way, whatever.

By the way, the USAORG Exiles Stadium is maxed and they have over 7 million dollars in the bank at the moment. Make sure those of you on the waiting list get your claims in real soon. You don't want to miss this chance.

so USAORG isn't going to have a team in USA? I think you guys are making the wrong move. In my opinion, you should have tried to bring the new owners into the fold. Instead of letting the teams that are in highly competitive leagues get gutted. The new owners will not have a chance in hell of competing in USA AA or Canada AAA. The exiles won't even be able to compete in USA A#1 or #2. To me it just looks like your trying to stack Africa pro where you will be dominate for years because of this. The more i think of it...the more i think this is a crappy move on your part as well as pure laziness.

Anyway enjoy dominating Africa Pro (or whatever league your sticking these guys in).

The truth is that we really couldn't have seen this coming - it was completely unexpected. The GMs are doing everything they can to make the players happy. There's not much else that can be done.

They're going to a lot of teams in a lot of leagues. No team is being stacked as a result of this.

About 2/5 are going to other ORG teams, 1/5 are going to teams that are owned by Agents who have players in the ORG, and 2/5 are being released to seek out work wherever they would like. I'm not going to tell guys who wish to be relocated in the ORG, sorry we don't have room for you because Joe B has a problem with it.

Let's do the math with the Exiles. A new owner takes over a maxed stadium with say 8 million dollars. Most level 20 guys are going to cost around 100 - 200 K per season including a bonus to make them feel good, buy equipment, or whatever they need.

If you pay 40 players 200 K per season, there is your 8 million and I think 200 K is being awfully generous. Factor in the profit you will turn your first season and I think the Exiles have more than enough money to buy a roster provided whoever takes them over recruits this off-season.

There is no appeasing the public with this one. There's been plenty of "gutters" leave teams in the red with crappy stadiums. We are leaving two franchises with money in the bank, nice stadiums, and expiring contracts. More than that, I'm telling you they are available.

Look, nothing personal and I know you're an opponent. Best of luck to you guys. I even talked with Sprovo a bit at end of season and stuff... we seemed cool with each other.

But I've talked about precidents on numerous occasions and just feel like this should be another one. NO.

No one should be able to purchase a team and trump the list. If there's a list then there's a list and the list should be the rule of law. Simple as that.

I actually agree that it would probably be good for you to be the next owner... but not at the cost of trumping the list. TERRIBLE precident then.

Having said all that, best of luck to all of you. I mean that.
