1) Out of curiosity, I looked up some numbers.

There's about 125 leagues X 32 teams X 55 players =220,000 potential dots

Go to search function...search all dots with agents active in last 3 days= 4681 pages @25 per page= around 117,000

I don't believe that the agents for HALF the dots fail to log-in at least every three days, particularly over a long weekend, meaning there's way more CPU dots filling out all these out there than I'd really every considered.

2) Teams owned by CPU... I went to flex page and buy a team... currently about 250 teams (plus more pee wee teams than I cared to count) owned by the CPU

Why? What purpose does it serve?

I suggest cutting the number of teams by about 30% and going back to the waiting list to own a team if necessary. I'd be in favor of INCREASING the cost of owning a team if this would offset the bottom line to Bort & Co. from team purchases.

i like being able to sign with a cpu team and not have to take the risk with the 14yr olds that grab a team

I'm picking a nit here: it's the end of the Thanksgiving weekend in the States, so anyone who relies on their school or work net connection will be inactive today.

I support reducing the number of available teams, but it really needs to go hand in hand with a significant league (and possibly season) restructure* to reduce the number of teams per league. Right now, the # of teams at each level has to be a multiple of 16, which hinders most attempts at reduction.

* - something less asinine than "15/17-team conferences!," please.

If the OP is suggesting eliminating the D-leagues in any way, then -1.

League restructure already happening via the accelerated player growth that came into effect.

GLB shrunk the quantity of age tiers.

+1 to the suggestion

While GLB has been contracting the leagues for the last 10 or so seasons it obviously hasn't been aggressive enough.

yes, lets just have them make 1 gigantic league with every team in the game in it, remove the CPUs until there is an even amount on both sides, and then slowly add back separate leagues for each age group.

GLB is like some broad that gained 200 lbs. As she continued to gain weight she regularly bought larger pants until after it was all said and done she had bought 10 wardrobes. She has now dropped the 200 lbs but has only bought smaller pants a couple of times so her pants fall down around her ankles.

It's a shame she got rid of the old clothes. I miss the BBB leagues.

Yeah, remember when we were all speculating on how Bort would set up B and BB? I miss the old pyramid system where you could recruit whatever dots you wanted without such stringent restrictions. It was basically whoever could pull in the best dots won. All the league changes brought about for the sake of parity really hasn't done anything but make recruiting harder.

In the vast majority of the leagues you still have 1 or 2 teams that are a lock for the conference title. 3 or 4 more that will fight for a home playoff game. After that you have the rest that has no hope of winning anything. Just as it was with the pyramid structure. I've been screaming from the mountain top ever since I've been here that this is a PvP game and parity will never exist from top to bottom of the individual leagues.

The admins have said bringing back the pyramid is NGTH, but I still miss it.

I miss the BBB leagues. I don't miss the pyramid. I guess, to stretch the metaphor beyond usefulness, I liked her with some meat on her bones, especially in that one little black dress, but don't want to see a return to the potato sacks.

The only difference between the pyramid and what we have now are the blowouts are not quite as bad as they were and recruiting is too limited. The same end result takes place in the ABL as the pyramid.
