Its just not fun anymore, its the same plays over and over again...

been the same since S23, it's awful.


im having fun at sophmore level, players respond how they should.

im done with PW after this season, its not fun like it used to be and with the PW restructure idea seemingly forgotten about by the mods/admins, i cant see it improving any time soon.

New season, old argument...

Actually the number screens called by most teams has decreased this season as defenses are defending them better. They are still used, but it's more of a risk vs. reward now.

The mid-season nerf of Pump-Fake seems to have toned down the popular PF-Slant combo a bit. Teams will still use it, but you might not see it make up 75% of a teams offense anymore.

HB/FB passes to the flats are still the bread & butter of many teams, and that won't change until something is changed by the admins, and I wouldn't hold your breath on that happening anytime soon. There are ways to hold many of those plays in check on defense, but it's a trade-off as that might open a gap elsewhere.

Actually I am enjoying this season. I like the higher level PW players as this opened up different builds and allows them to mature a bit more. While it takes a while to find the best of the new plays and create defenses to stop them, I like the challenge, though things didn't look very good for my Bears early this season...

With so many offensive options, life as a DC has become hard and it's a rare occasion when you can hold a top offense in check. You just have to hope your offense is able to put up just as many if not more points. Plus as a DC, it's up to us to scout a team, see which plays the other team is likely to call most often, and make adjustments to our defenses and hope those adjustment work as intended.

Never said it was easy, but it's the challenge that is fun!

I have to agree with Gerr on the changes in tendencies.
This has been the most challenging of seasons for me... I still like the challenge though..not throwing in the towel.

going to be a tough decision to continue to buy flex to field a full roster next season.

Do you have proof of that or are you just speculating.....I have not seen it behaving much differently....

After 8-10 season I still have not figured out how to slow down the screens/slant plays........so the game has beat me......errrr I mean I am not having any fun.....

As has always been the case the DC whining is always funny.......here let me spell it out for you.
The last 5 Gold League Champions have given up less than 20 points per game in the playoffs easily (probably less than 15 but I didn't care enough to find the exact number). Out of those 20 playoff games they have given up more than 20 points exactly 3 times............It is a simple fact that defense can be played at this level and those that do it really well win rings.......

LOL, who has proof of anything in this game?

A lot of people, myself included, seem to think PF is not firing as often. It could be because defenders tend to have low Vision early in the season, but QB's are loading up on PF early. Just don't know, but what ever the reason, PF doesn't seem to be firing as often now, so teams are making adjustments to their offensive calls.

I don't think pump fake took a hit but they made sure Short Bus passing game went to shit...lol

Kinda, but I have the 3 and 7 defenses in gold...so it's not like I can't stop anything...its just the sheer fact that its boring

And I didn't come to PW gold until S17...

With Pee Wee dying off at an alarming rate, I bet pretty soon none of us will have to boost and buy custom in the near future.

Being an owner at this level has been a blast for me. All my hard work has paid off.
