Since demonicangel hasnt done it yet, Ill take a stab at Zeta this week.
Belgrade at Silesia
Belgrade just beat Prague, and Silesia has had most of their banned players' contracts expire and they dont even have a kicker. Simply saying, expect no field goals for the home team in this blowout, it is doubtful that they will score a single point.
For the slow witted, Belgrade wins huge.
Helsinki at Novosibirsk
HHR squeaked by Rome last game in what can only be called a huge letdown by Rome, Novosibirsk surprisingly upset AND shutout Chernobyl in what was also a shocking game. Dont worry normalcy will come back to Zeta this week and Helsinki will easily put away Novosibirsk.
Cincinnati at Prague
Last week Prague lost a heartbreaker against a very good Belgrade team, their first loss of the season, while on the other side Cincinnati has had a rebuilding season after a merger with the now defunct Moscow Monsters. Cincinnati has never beat Prague, but they have a lot more talent after the merger, they could win this time, but it seems unlikely. I will predict that Prague wins, as that is what most expect.
Budapest at Moscow
Until a meeting with the tough pass rush and defense of Stalingrad last week, Budapest was on a roll this season. Moscow on the other hand is on another kind of roll, straight down, in their defense they have played one of the harder Zeta schedules so far this season, but their shutout loss Week 1 probably seals their fate as part of the bottom third of the conference. Budapest should win this game handily, they have come a long way in the last two years and need to beat teams that they should to keep their progression in the right direction.
Transylvania at Stalingrad
Transylvania is playing better football this season and has a winning record so far, of course it helps that they have played 2 of the worst 3 teams in the conference already. Stalingrad on the other hand has had a brutal stretch where they had to play Prague and Belgrade back to back and suffered back to back losses. Stalingrad is a good team and will beat Transylvania, but they should look to make some changes because on paper they have a better team than barely squeaking by Budapest and having two losses.
Chernobyl at Atlantis
Something is afoul this season in Chernobyl and it isnt just the mutant chickens! This team has been one of the best team in Zeta for the past two seasons, but season 3 is different. The losses to Helsinki and Rome are understandable, but the shutout loss to Novosibirsk is just baffling. Luckily for the Mutants, Atlantis is easily the worst team in Zeta right now (until Silesia really has no players) and this will be an easy win to get the Mutants on the right track, too bad for them that they have a really tough schedule remaining.
Rockford at Dubai
#8 vs #10 in Zeta and its really a question of schedule here, Dubai has played 3 certain playoff teams while Rockford has only played two. Dubai has shown it can sqeak out a close game, while Rockford has kept most of their games tight, but lost 3 tight games. This is a tough one to pick, I think that Rockford keeps it tight and their chemistry and ability to stay in games wins this one for them, but Id say this is my least confident pick as Dubai can pull out close ones as well.
Sooner at Rome
Rome has had a just brutal schedule so far this season, and if that wasnt enough just to kick ole Hazy in the balls, the sim snatches away a game in the 4th that was in his hands. Rome wins this game as Sooneer's team is bad, the biggest question is whether Sooneer's team snatches up enough points and possibly 2 wins this season to evade relegation for the 3rd straight year.
Those are my picks, they are all pretty easy this week except for the Rockford/Dubai game. I look forward to seeing what will happen tomorrow.
