Hello,

I've played the game before, but not long and it was a different position, though I can't remember what.

This time around I've decided to be a pass rushing NT.

I don't know if H/W are important but they're 6'5'' 300lbs.

The other stats I don't know if it would be ok w/my team owner if I post them or not, so to err on the side of caution, I won't as of the moment.

My question really stems from the terminology the game uses. I've heard 4 way training, and all other sorts of recommendations. None of which make sense. I've used my TPs and BTs
as recommended, but is there a laymen's guide to all this stuff?

Pass rushing DT's are pretty bad. But yes quad training is the best way to start off a new dots build. You should also get a few into the %'s of the atts you are quad training. As build wise, I've never built a Pass Rushing DT, but I have built Run Stuffing DT's with success. Best of luck.

why do you say they're pretty bad?

because you need to take speed and agility up before strength to make them good, and DTs just don't seem to get many sacks regardless and when they do, it is mostly based on very high strength, high agility, and very good vision.

So
155 strength
100 agility
65 speed
70 vision

is actually a better pass rushing DT than

140 strength
100 agility
100 speed
70 vision

I have a DT right now that has 147 strength, 101 agility, 87 speed, 70 vision, 10 shed block, 10 strong base, 12 first step, 8 tunnel vision, 8 break through, and 6 wall, 21 BB%. He has pocket crusher, bull rusher, pass rusher, & heavyweight VAs.

He does absolutely nothing vs the pass. Actually does pretty well against the run though, even though he only has 70 tackling.

Thats really good...how does he do in sacks. I have made several pass rushing DT's and had good luck with it. YES you will not get as many sacks as a DE would get but you cause a lot of havoc on the run game, since ou are fast enough to get to the back.

curious where ur jumping is Rage, if neglected will it make diving tackles almost impossible to get?

This is the first season I've used the VPB and have been playing around with it. This is what I came up with, which to me looks solid but I totally neglected jumping..

103.06 strength
99.57 agility
64 speed
66.5 stamina
72.56 vision
74.07 tackling
50 confidence
1436 BT

3 wall, 4 BT, 10 FS

dunno how much it would cost for 2 BB% assuming i need to get lucky w/shopping

I think you need at least 25 jumping end build.

I was impressed once my jumping got above 30 how many missed tackles i started seeing my DT get, i watched film, and he attempted ALOT of diving tackles after that point. Just make sure tackling is good, and maybe even a MT% piece.
