Two undefeateds went down in Week 8, and Tallahassee pulled a huge comeback against Fresno in a tough game.

Western Conference:

Game of the Week: Las Vegas (7-0) vs. Minnesota (6-1): 26-6. This game was close until halftime, when Las Vegas took over and dominated. The one-man-show rolled through Minnesota easily with a strong run game. Minnesota pestered quarterback Todd Marinovich 12 all day, keeping him to 17/45, forcing 2 INTs, and 2 sacks. However, Las Vegas kept pounding away until Minnesota was too tired to fight back. Las Vegas's strategy of large amounts of depth proved to be too much for Minnesota. Minnesota looks to rebound next week against Concord. Las Vegas takes on the inconsistent Texas Teabaggers.

Concord (1-6) vs. Colorado (1-6): 0-75. The toilet bowl in the West was all Colorado, as they got a chance to get their first win of the season. Colorado racked up 635 yards of offense to Concord's 115, allowing Concord just 1/2 yard of rushing offense. Kikko Miguel led the way with 5 TDs and nearly 300 yards. QB Orville Reddenbacher also was efficient with 16/20, 176 yards, and 2 TDs. Colorado will take this new found confidence into a game with New Jersey next week, and Concord plays another team that will probably beat them by 100.

Lauderdale (3-4) vs. Texas (4-3): 3-36. Texas started the year with high hopes, but was quickly dissapointed with a 3-3 start. They dominated the Lauderdale Titans today both on the ground and in the air. Their defense held Lauderdale to 3 points, 13 rushing yards, and 96 passing yards. Texas kicker Adam Elam was kept busy with 5 FGs and 3 XPs. Hal Moore of Lauderdale was punished, throwing 5 INTs and 0 TDs. Carl Roach for Texas led the way with 108 yards recieving and 2 TDs on 14 receptions. Texas takes on undefeated Las Vegas next week, and Lauderdale takes on the improving San Francisco Gold Rush.

Fresno (5-2) vs. Tallahassee (5-2): 23-24. This was the most exciting game of the week, and was battled back and forth the entire game. Tallahassee jumped out to a 3-0 lead, but Fresno quickly answered with 20 points, including a 76.5 yard TD by Chad Watson. Tallahassee fought back, scoring 2 quick TDs to bring Fresno's lead to 3. Tallahassee's defense held Fresno to a FG with 3 minutes to go, and gave their offense a chance to score. Dock Sprocket led an efficient march down the field, covering 63.5 yards in 2 minutes, completing 8 out of 13 passes, completed by a 3rd down and 5 touchdown pass to Ryan Bono. These teams may face each other again in the playoffs, where Fresno will look to take revenge. Fresno faces Oakland next week, and Tallahassee will face Tijuana.

Tijuana (2-5) vs. SNK (4-3): 3-33. TIjuana's struggles continued as SNK rebounded from its 2 game losing streak. SNK's John Cacic was efficient in his 34/60 285 yard effort capped off with 2 TDs. Tijuana was able to force 6 turnovers from SNK, but was unable to capitalize. Tijuana takes on Tallahassee next week, and SNK battles Goshen.

New Jersey (4-3) vs. Laurier (2-5): 31-3. Laurier started strong with a 3-0 lead, but could not get anything else done all day as New Jersey rallied behind 33 unanswered points to dismantle the Golden Hawks. Adrian Walker scored 2 TDs on 21 rushes, leading the way for New Jersey. Jack H, for Laurier, also had a productive outing as he caught 11 receptions for 104 yards. New Jersey faces Colorado next week, as Laurier faces EZ COMPANY.

San Francisco (4-3) vs. Goshen (0-7): 36-0. Goshen began its first game today short staffed, and never was able to keep up with the Gold Rush. San Francisco's Roger Craig 33 ran for 110 yards on 18 carries to lead the way. BigFoot Punterguy only saw the field 1 time, which he kicked for a touchback. On a positive note for Goshen, they managed to only have 3 turnovers, while forcing 2 from San Francisco. Goshen faces SNK next week. The Gold Rush takes on Lauderdale, looking to improve their playoff hopes.

EZ (7-0) vs. Oakland (1-6): 103-0. Oaklands struggles continued as EZ rolled to a 103-0 win. Oakland was held to 26.5 yards of offense, while EZ racked up 593.5 yards. EZ's two QBs each racked up 2 TDs as Oakland's 'Steamin Willie' Beaman threw 5 INTs. Blast Baker scored 5 TDs, with 158 yards on 28 carries. EZ faces Laurier next week, and Oakland faces Fresno.

Eastern Conference:

Pittsburgh (3-4) vs. Maine (4-3): 3-22. Maine looks to reclaim the Year of the Hawk with a win over struggling Pittsburgh. Maine's Hugh Geerection was kept busy, kicking 5 FGs as they struggled to reach the end zone. Pittsburgh struggled to do anything, with QB Angry Dad going 17/45 with 3 INTs. Maine's Dargo Dirtage managed to run through Pittsburgh's Defense for 116.5 yards on 24 carries. Maine faces St. Louis next week in a battle that will put the winner in a great spot for a playoff run. Pittsburgh looks to recover against rival Cleveland.

New York Launch (5-2) vs. Cleveland (1-6): 23-7. New York continued to show its strength with a strong performance against struggling Cleveland. Most of the damage was done on the ground as Tank Xerion rushed for 106.5 yards and 1 TD on 30 carries. Backup QB Joe Show for Cleveland was 7/7 for 1 TD, possibly challenging struggling Todd Beakman for the starting job. New York faces Indianapolis in an important battle, and Cleveland hopes to steal a win from Pittsburgh.

Milwaukee (4-3) vs. Indianapolis (5-2): 30-17. Milwaukee continued its climb back to the playoffs with a win over Indianapolis. Billy Montana led the way with 28/45, 224 yards, and 3 TDs. Zach Emerson on the Rush also had a successful outing with 182 yards on 28/46 passes, with 2 TDs. Unfortuantely, the 2 INTs kept Indy from being able to keep up with the Beermen. Most of those points were in the 4th quarter, after Milwaukee already put the game out of hand. Milwaukee faces Detroit next week, and Indianapolis faces the Launch.

Martha's Vineyard (1-6) vs. Crimson (7-0): 0-30. Crimson kept up their undefeated streak with another win over Martha's Vineyard. Crimson had a balanced attack splitting yardage on the ground and in the air. Martha's Vineyard has improved quite a bit this year, but it wasn't enough to keep up with the Marauduers. Martha's Vineyard faces Red River next week, and Crimson faces Naperville in a rematch of last years playoff upset of the Neanderthals.

New Orleans (4-3) vs. Sin City (2-5): 26-14. New Orleans has been fairly quiet all season, but is slowly moving up the standings with a solid win over Sin City. QB Ryan Hollister completed 31/55 passes for 251.5 yards and 2 TDs and 1 INT to lead New Orleans on a 2 game win streak. Sin City scored a quick TD early in the game, but was never able to do much else with the ball the rest of the game. New Orleans faces Columbus next week and Sin City faces the New York Mustangs.

St. Louis (5-2) vs. Columbus (6-1): 19-15. The Cheetahs defeated the previously undefeated Columbus Woodys 19-15 in a come-from-behind win capped by a 18.5 yard touchdown by Fred Biletnikoff Jr. with 6:46 left in the game. The teams traded FGs early in the game, and each struggled to get anything done offensively. The two teams combined for 9 INTs during the game, which was dominated by both defenses. Franchise Burrell was a monster on defense for Columbus, with 2 INTs, 10 Pass Deflections, and 5 Tackles. Immediately following the game, Columbus released backup QB Ian Hill, who has struggled all season on limited playing time. Mr. Three Percent also provided huge gains for St. Louis with 85 yards on 9 receptions. St. Louis looks to continue its run against Maine, while Columbus hopes to recover against New Orleans.

Detroit (1-6) vs. Naperville (5-2): 0-50. Naperville's winning streak continued, as it opened the game with 5 TDs in a 15 minute stretch. Detroit was held to 88 yards offense. Bomb Odie was fantastic, completing 32/44 attempts for 273 yards and 3 TDs. Deuce Shaley_ was also solid with 23 rushes for 91 yards and a TD. Naperville faces Crimson next week in a tough game while Detroit faces Milwaukee.

New York Mustangs (3-4) vs. Red River (0-7): 22-13. New York was able to come from behind in the 4th quarter with 10 unanswered points to get a win against the struggling Red River Chiefs. Red River had a solid outing with 280.5 yards in the air coming from 3 QBs, topped off by a 60.5 yard TD pass to Chris Paroussis right before halftime. New York faces struggling Sin City next week, while Red River faces Martha's Vineyard.

Texas vs. Las Vegas
Texas has been extremely inconsistent this season, but a strong outing for them might be enough to knock off Las Vegas.

Maine vs. St. Louis
Maine may have a 4-3 record, but their 3 losses are by only 6 points. St. Louis is coming off of a big win against Columbus and looks to prove they aren't just a fluke against Maine.

New York Launch vs. Indianapolis
New York faces Indianapolis in a battle that could determine who gets a home game, and who has to go on the road in the playoffs. This should be a fairly evenly matched game that either team could win.

Game of the week:

Crimson vs. Naperville
The rematch of the Eastern Conference Semifinal will give Crimson its toughest test of the year so far. Can they remain undefeated with a crippling Defense that has only allowed 22 points all season? Naperville started out sluggish, but has stepped it up for the regular season against each of their last opponents. Expect a shootout from two extremely strong teams.

best part is we gotta face you on a hot streak, and it helps alot when your QB throws 3 TDS and no picks

Thanks for all the corrections- there are a lot of games and not much time to write these, so I'll screw up in a few spots!

BTW- if anyone wants to PM me highlights from their games, do it. I generally look over the box scores for anything that jumps out, but someone who actually watched the game might have good insight on it.

Our goal is to score this week. We could have last week but went for it late on the 20. Baby steps.
