12 teams, 8 spots. That means four must go. At least one playoff team from last season isn't making it this time!

I assume you're talking about weak Alpha?

Duh. Zeta's not a conference, it's two teams plus the Hollywood Legends.

Still trying to find 4 wins, finish 8-8 and be there

Big week coming up as 7 of the 8 teams between five and nine wins slug it out for playoff positioning.

Athens in a holding pattern, hoping Emmaus somehow takes two losses, and Vern Fonk defeats Stewart - likely rendering the Vern/Odyssey game meaningless for the Fonkers.

we're out after our loss against Bucanners last week. First time from team creation with losing season record and out of playoffs. I blame Borf and his promotion system!

I agree with what he said...avg level 67 guys don't stand a chance...

unless of course:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/roster.pl?team_id=125
you are average level 66...I guess 1 level lower is a much bigger benefit...shoulda held onto 1 of your boosts for everyone Kenshinzen

It's amazing the things people blame losses on

1. other conference

2. no season promo or anything this season

3. we're not trying, waiting for next season

not excuses, just the truth. My team has a history in EEPL, I'm not a novice in here. Early in the season was lvl 64 vs. 72 but there is no need to continue this discussion. My team will be ready next season as planned.

We always wait until next season... starting to think we should change our names to the Chicago Cubs.

I think we are going to make it. Just such an odd season. Against the better competition we are playing well, close games. Against the lower teams we lay an egg and well loss at times.

Sea Wasps stave off elimination for another week. A free game against the CPUs will get them to 8 wins for sure, but that's not enough - they were swept by the current 8-win teams. They face Belfast this week, who must win one of their last two games, or will miss out on the playoffs due to bad tiebreaks.

Emmaus and Heuristik are in better shape with the tiebreakers, needing just one victory (or the Sea Wasps loss) to clinch a playoff spot.

The Roadfrogs cling to the faintest hope of life. They need to win out, they need Belfast to beat the Sea Wasps, and they need Lisbon to defeat Heuristik. Their best hope is for the Sin to defeat the Cartoon Convicts this week and lock in the #1 seed, making their week 16 Frog-Sin matchup meaningless for Cincinnati.

Danbury is in a similar situation, but need the Sea Wasps to win (and thus get their bad tiebreak to 9-wins) instead of lose. Like the Frogs, they face a tough week 16 opponent. Unless they lose this week, the Fonks will be locked into the 3-seed and have nothing to play for week 16. Danbury also needs either Heuristik or Emmaus to lose out ... preferably both. If only one does, they also need the Roadfrogs to lose to Cincinnati. Mathematically, they can get in without a Roadfrogs loss, but it's hard to see the Roadfrogs giving up over 75 points while winning twice.

3 homefield spots are all but locked up by the Fonks, Ballers and Sin - only a double upset can knock Stewart or the Fonks out. The Sin are homefield, regardless, though a double loss can still drop them to the 2-seed. Lisbon gets the 4-spot if they win out, or if they win one and the Sin take out the Convicts this week. Despite being at 9 wins, Belfast is not in contention for the 4-seed, due to bad tiebreaks and the Convicts free game vs. Baton Rouge.

Roadfrogs and Demons drop out this week as both Emmaus and Heuristik get to 9 wins, taking the 8-seed to a height neither Miami nor Danbury can reach.

If Belfast defeats Emmaus, and Lisbon defeats Heuristik:
1. Sin
2. Ballers
3. Fonk
4. Crusaders
5. Convicts
6. Belfast
7. Hornets (unless Hornets allow 41+ points - then switch spots)
8. Sea Wasps (unless Hornets allow 41+ points - then switch spots)
9. Syndicate

If Emmaus defeats Belfast, and Lisbon defeats Heuristik:
1. Sin
2. Ballers
3. Fonk
4. Crusaders
5. Convicts
6. Hornets
7[round-robin tie]. Syndicate (unless they let Belfast gain 32 points on them, unlikely as this scenario calls for a Belfast loss)
8[round-robin tie]. Knights (unless they let Emmaus score 58 points on them)
9[round-robin tie]. Sea Wasps (unless Emmaus hangs 58 on Belfast)

If Belfast defeats Emmaus, and Heuristik defeats Lisbon:
1. Sin
2. Ballers
3. Fonk
4. Convicts
5[round-robin tie]. Syndicate (25 point margin over Lisbon)
6[round-robin tie]. Crusaders (7 point margin over Belfast - may well flip)
7.[round-robin tie]. Knights (need to gain 7 points on Lisbon to move up)
8. Hornets (on head-to-head over Sea Wasps)
9. Sea Wasps

If Emmaus defeats Belfast, and Heuristik defeats Lisbon:
1. Sin
2. Ballers
3. Fonk
4. Convicts
5. Hornets (on tie-breaker sweep)
6. Syndicate (on head-to-head over Lisbon)
7. Crusaders
8. Sea Wasps (head-to-head over Belfast)
9. Knights
