Oceania Pro League - Week 9 Write-Up
This week is a bit short on write-ups, not a ton of matchups that called to me. Hope you enjoy the ones I DID add. Sorry Alpha...didn't really see a 'GOTW' Matchup..
Balanced Game of the Week
OffTopica Miracle @ Tampa Bay Puganeers
Both of these teams have rosters that should permit them to be higher contenders than they've shown to be, especially TBP. But the fact is they are simply middle of the road. The favorite in this game is most definitely OffTopica but I'm still awaiting the surprise from TBP. Expect this game to be extremely low scoring.
Middle of the Road Game of the Week
Prague Panthers @ San Diego Supa Chargers
Prague and SD have severely underachieved and they're solely fighting for playoff spots, not for the hopes to win within them. Both of these teams have tons of potential, just not for this season. So really they're fighting to gain an identity so that next season, they can fight to win. Another low scoring game I suspect.
Oceania Pro Zeta PowerZone Game of the Week
Sumatra Seahawks @ Komodo Dragon
Nothing has stirred the reigns of Sumatra to this point, they've stood strong and ripped through everything that has crossed their path thus far. Komodo has not. The two biggest threats that Komodo has faced were Deadwood and GCV. Komodo lost both. Nothing in my mind says they'll win this game. BUT that doesn't mean they won't. If they can get their sh*t together and actually put up a fight and pull off an upset, then they perhaps would be able to reshape hte playoff picture rapidly approaching us. Either way, I think it'll be a three point game.
Oceania Pro Zeta Under-Rated Armor Game of Week
Razorback Nation @ South Bend Rhinocopters
Before I get to what I think of both things, my predicition in this game is that RBN comes aaaway victorious in a close matchup. Both of these teams have thorughly impressed me thus far this season. Both teams have proven to me that next season they are going to make for fierce competition and have a true shot at winning Gold here in OPro. They've had 'mid-grade' seasons thus far and I've been very impressed with both teams regardless of their records. I'd say I have a soft spot for both teams. I'm definitely looking forward to this game and to how both teams finish the season.
