IDK if anyone noticed the very sleek mention of the upcoming player development speed change, but from the looks of it peewee players will now reach level 15 and maybe even level 16 by boosting at the end of the season.

This is good for the long-term builds, but this will kill PeeWee.

It sounds good at first, b/c the dots will have some more SP's to use and will perform better later in the season.

But by being able to reach level 16 in the playoffs with boosting, you will HAVE to boost in order to win. They obviously chose level 16 for this exact reason, to promote boosting.

It used to be tough to overcome the 15 SP's, but it's feasible and teams can compete w/o boosting or CEQ. Now you would have to covercome the 15 SP's plus the lv16 EQ (which will likely be worth another 12 SP's, perhaps more based on build).

Throw in CEQ and a team is now down 40+ SP's (15 for boost, 12 for equipment, 6 CEQ, 6+ for CEQ SA).

It is hard enough to get enough PW teams to compete...this will kill off a lot more teams that know they can't compete.

They should change this to level 15.

A big -1 for me.

That was why PWG was created, keep all the competitive teams paying, playing together.

Catch actually clarified that you can only reach 16 by boosting on day 40. Pretty big gamble, but if it pays off...

I feel like those added levels are going to be a drastic change to the style of play, I mean certainly the peewees are going to be a bit more math-nerdlete based for a couple of seasons since I imagine with the bonus 2 levels and the new equipment the difference between a decently done build and the perfect mathed out one is going to be quite a bit larger.

i was thinking that might be the case actually. if peewee still exists as it does now, that isn't allowed. so it'll pretty much be the same except that 14-15 might be the norm instead of 13-14

I think this is true and that means nobody will gamble on that because the odds of winning three playoff games without boosts are small. Also, if level 15 is the peak, we had level 14 as the norm when we had day 31 players, so level 15 is not that different. The larger difference IMO will be this 1.6 times increase to training and the increase in getting bonus tokens by a multiple of 16 but only an increase by 10 times to things that require BT.

I suggest if it will be quicker to get to WL then we should start our own peewee contingent for the WL where coordinators for it could be determined by who won the gold championship in the previous season ...then if the coordinators don't win the gold championship in the next season, they are replaced by the next season gold champion coords ...it would be like a promotion and being honored for a season as reigning champs ...I'll donate 5players to the cause and if we could find another 10agents from the gold faithful that are willing to support this idea, then we be set! ...just a suggestion!
