Recruiting has about killed us this year. We are "stuck" at 31. I'd hate to roll with half CPU players as that won't be fun for anyone, but will do that rather than run with 600 day old players.

So if you have any decent dots, age 359-559, let me know. Chances are we'll have a spot for them.

yeah It's been a tough recruiting season. Pugs are in a similar boat.

olinemen and WRs especially are hard to come by.

We've fielded 50+ players for 18 seasons. We'll do it again. Just going to be a game or two into the season probably this go around.

Auto offer doesn't work for beans at this level.

Oh and I have some 559 players but already signed them to my reg pro team. They stunk it up here on the OTM when they were in their prime. Doubt they would be any better now.

Ruger, you need to spam and send out blind offers, at least 30 per open spot:

Example on why blind offers DO work to fill up your team. Not fill it up with the best dots, but fill it up. (Once you get that, make friends, get to know folks and help them build better dots if they aren't the best).

Most of the team was already in place, but I had 1 DT on the roster and needed 4.
I used the Search function to show me all Free Agent DT's, 319-560 days old, level 64 and up.
I started this process about three hours ago. I sent offers to all those dots, about 90 offers.
This was my intentionally lame recruiting pitch:
Sorely in need of DT's, come stat whore with us. Entire team is in place but missing DTs!

It took me about an hour to send those offers. All three of the empty spots are filled. I typically get one accept for every 25 offers sent out. I was very lucky in that this time I went 3/6:

I was not picky with the builds since a 1st season decliner was fine with me, but it was also casualol and regionalol pro.

I don't know cbaker44, but now I have him on my team and if I needed more dots I would pm him: Thanks for signing! We are really happy to have you. Do you have any plans for this OT? We could use him too. And send this dot an offer:

He has a handful of free agents, and if I needed spots filled I would grab them. The build highlights of his DT's are: STR 140, AGI 86, SPD 76, TAK 81 34% Force Fumble AEQ and 22% Break Block AEQ. His other DT: STR 136, AGI 93, TAK 83, SPD 60 25% Break Block AEQ. That is more than adequate for Regional Pro.

The point is, find your angle, sell your angle, send out a ton of offers you only need a few to bite and build from that.

Now excuse me I have 84 other offers to cancel.

Seahawk, I started the process last night. Spent HOURS on here and went through the first two pages of every position we needed guys at. I've used all this before to find guys to start conversations with, remember, I've been doing this for 18 seasons. I just never have had to send this many offers out. It's grinding me when I have a dot wanting WL when I know in my heart he'd struggle like hell here in OPL! lol

Anyway, I've literally sent close to 600 offers this offseason and can't count how many "I'm in the top 3" for right now. However, being runner up doesn't get the job done as you know.

But I hear ya on sending TONS of offers. Nothing like waking up and seeing 35 alerts and having one accept in there. Talk about a kick in the nuts!

I did this yesterday for my younger team who needed a kicker and punter.

Spammed 15 offers to kickers, and 15 offers to punters. 0 PM's or anything, got both positions filled within a few hours

Agreed!

The good news is the last few I just lost out on were to teams like Asau who look like they are finally hitting their roster limits along with the WL teams I was losing to. So maybe things will be starting to fall now. There's so many agents with great dots that haven't been logged in since even a week ago that if they sign in I could fill this team in two seconds. Here's to hoping they haven't quit the game and those dots go to waste.
