Hey all, inspired by jpjn94 great write-ups I’ve been thinking of ways to contribute to this fantastic forum. So I’ve been developing this formula to generate a kind of Pro Bowl style team show down; which works out which DOT’s have been performing best based on what their arch-type/roster spot requires of them.

The plan is to update this game by game to show who is leading the race in each position for a spot in the Pro Bowl game. At the end of the season the formula works out a kind of battle per position to calculate which conference comes out on top.

If you guys think it would be worthwhile and a bit of fun I’d like to hear your feedback as to whether it’s worth me starting this next season.

On Nightmare at LB. He got most (or a lot anyways) of his tackles on ST. So it looks like the main criteria you used was tackles (he led league). Dunno if he's a starter on a defensive pro bowl team.

And how does Heywood not make the cut at bTE, I'm pretty sure he led the league.

I like the Offensive backfield with HB Beast and FB Pee-Nut

This would be fun I think, something more to banter on back and forth. I think we should also allow for some possible 'fan votes', this can allow a few dots in that may have gotten the snub. For Instance, TE Heywood JaBlowme should most definitely be in the Pro Bowl.

Good Idea, we used to do these "Pro Bowl teams" back in the day in WE Leagues.

ROLB is actually mainly based on sacks and hurries, with a few other scenarios thrown in but yeah tackling does play a part for all LB’s, there will be some tweaking to the formula as I go until I get it spot on, I guess no 1 would be to reduce the effect of tackles for ROLB

Haywood was close but didn’t quite make it, the formula is based on working out if every DOT got the same amount of plays what would their average per game be over several stats, I guess he suffered from to many plays

Like this idea I can add bonus to selection based on votes

Yeah that was a lot of fun...we'd have nominations where we made cases for them and then each team (usually the owner) sent in their votes, obviously unable to vote for their teams players. Really was fun...

Good idea, will do. I'll include the agent as well...

or maybe it would be easier to just link them...that would give all the info and easier then typing out the team and agent?

Yeah i'll try out them both and see whats the least time consuming

all you need for Zeta ST's is Nate Clements and that list would be done.

This is a great idea though.

A single candidate in the HB slots doesn't differentiate between the Elusive & short yardage guys.
