Ok I went 4-4 in the first round Picking that HUGE upset in the 4 v 5 game.
ROUND 2
1. Chi Ho V 5 Rhode Island Red Wolves
Holy first round beatdown Wise. Nice of the Hogs to keep it under 100, scoring too much in the playoffs is just wrong. After a slow first quarter(no points on O, Chicago ROARED through the rest of their round 1 game. Out gaining the now black and blue Knights 738 to 157.
Sweet fancy Howard Freaking Desmonds. Desmonds was able to strike the Heisman pose in the Endzone after THREE returns for TDs. Those three huge plays were the major difference in a game that was fairly even otherwise. RI only outgained the Bullets by 19 yds BUT outscored them by 25 points.
The First time Chi Ho and RI ran into each other it was a Tale of Two Halves. RI kept it close in half number one(with the help of a Desmonds TD) Trailing 17-14. Than all hell broke loose in half two. Chicago out gained RI 454-169 and outscored them 49-5 in half number 2. RI needs to figure out how to play a full 60 minutes of dotball if they want to have any chance of the upset.
Chicago Wins 63-28
2. South Georgia Growl V 3. Monmouth Evil Monkeys
Dawgs crew had a harder time than expect in round 1 with the 7th seeded CCIA. Down by 7 heading into the 4th quarter, the Growl Picked up a huge play on Defense with a pick 6 and later took advantage of a Shanked punt by CCIA to get great field position on their final TD drive. There D stepped it up and kept the Aliens out of the endzone to preserve the W.
Monmouth only led 19-13 at the half, but Exploded for 24 points in quarter three to put their game with San Fran out of reach. The Monmouth D came ready to play in half number 2 shutting out the webzoners for the final 30 minutes.
In the first meeting between these two teams the Growl Controlled both sides of the game and came away with a 15 point win. The 14 points that the Growl held the Monmouth O to was there lowest out put of the season.
