1. A Team of Ice and Fire vs 8. Diamond Valley Mastadons

The Mastadons fought their way into the playoffs and making the playoffs in any National Pro League isn't always that easy so great job this season. Downside is they'll have have to face off with the mighty Team of Ice and Fire; kind of Ice in the first quarter and then Fire in the second half. The last time these teams met, it was all Fire as the Mastadons fell to a crushing 82 - 3 loss. It's time for a little revenge and at least make this score a little closer here guys.
I'll take Ice and Fire as they're undefeated for a reason and I don't see them missing out on the World League this season.


4. Mentone Beach Assault vs 5. LUX Borg

With their crazy mix of too old and too young, the Assault was able to battle their way to the 4th seed and take home a Home Playoff game. The cheers from all the fans from Mentone Beach could be heard from my office, but the dreaded Borg quieted any joy they once had. This has slowly turned into a rivalry that lately the Assault has had the upper hand, but that could lead to destruction if their luck runs out. This should be a great game that won't be close to the previous score this season when the Assault won 44 - 16.
I'll take the Assault to win this one because I hear their OC is going to stay up late and game plan for this game and not drink too much.


2. Portland Rage vs 7. Fareham Demons

The Rage don't game plan EVER! I know I always talk about how great Mavoo is and blah blah blah, he sucks! That's why the Rage are in the #2 seed and have some of the best rushers in WEPL; just pure luck and a crappy offense. Nothing to see here Demons, move along... move along. Downside is I don't believe all that crap and Mavoo knows as well as I do that the Demons defense is very good and their last meeting held the Rage to only a 35 - 23 win. This really is the Rage's game to lose here as they should keep the Demons in check, but if they don't plan for that Demon defense; they could check out early.
RAGE ON!!!


3. United Empire vs 6. Mexican Misfits

The Misfits made the playoffs and I'm happy to see that as they have a solid squad and a great owner over there, but my god the Empire beat you by the score of 94 - 6?!?!?!?! Their chemistry was like 20 when they did that; were you guys on vacation that day? Trust me I know how good the Empire is, but you're going to have to come out with a lot of weapons and a great defensive game plan if you want to cut that score down or come close to taking down the Empire instead of looking like a bunch of Misfits out there!
I'll take Empire as they destroyed this team when they had horrible chemistry.

1. Lawrence Stop Signs vs 8. Glasgow Tigers

Well the Tigers made the playoffs, but they don't get to enjoy that feeling too long as they have to face off with the monster Stop Signs. Feel free to get a ticket and run this Stop Sign or at least do something to cut down the score of your first meeting with these guys. LSS won 121 - 7 in the regular season and I had to look twice to make sure that was the score, so... congratulations on making the playoffs?
I'll take Stop Signs in this one; don't see them even game planning here.


4. London Underground vs 5. Graz Grizzlies

Well the Grizzlies fell as I thought they'd be all season, but they did have a good run as an undefeated team for a long portion of the season. During their skid at the end of the season they faced off with a powerful Underground squad that was fighting for a top teir position as well. We weren't disappointed in this matchup as the two giants went at it and took the game down to a 34 - 30 winning by the Underground. This is going to be one of the best games this week!
I'll take the Grizzlies in the upset here as I have a feeling they were coasting most of the season.


2. Black Hand vs 7. HOOD Gods

The Black Hand has been a staple in the WEPL for a long time now and a solid team to compete against in the playoffs; their #2 seed was well earned and they look to make a serious run this season. On the other hand, the Gods are upset with Warsaw so they changed their name to the HOOD; not that that will give them a free pass against the Black Hand. You can run, but you can't hide... no clue what that's supposed to mean, but I wanted to put that!
I'll take the Black Hand because I use to be part of that team long ago.


3. Porto People Eaters vs 6. Cincinnati Stoners

The Stoners did really well for a new comer here to the WEPL and Porto has done well since coming over here so hell let's get this game on! I really like Porto for some reason, but I don't know why… so let's see the Stoners wake up and wait to bake till after the game move past the team the beat them up by 30 - 12!!!!
I'll take the Stoners because I have a GM tag there.

i think misfits vs UE could be closer then you may think. Having absolute horrible internet problems(gonna need to buy a new router) Im hoping for a close game anyways.
