Hey all!

I have been messing around with the VPB and still trying to decide how I want my future elusive back to end up. Which of the two builds do you think is better and which stats do you think need to be higher or could be lower? Thanks!

Build 1:

Attributes:
strength : 49.6
speed : 94.8
agility : 90.8
jumping : 36
stamina : 70.6
vision : 54.8
confidence : 51.6
blocking : 6
throwing : 8
catching : 48.6
carrying : 80.8
tackling : 8
kicking : 8
punting : 8

52 skill points for SA's
1226 bonus tokens

Build 2:

Attributes:
strength : 49.71
speed : 95.01
agility : 88.01
jumping : 27
stamina : 69.71
vision : 67.01
confidence : 41.71
blocking : 6
throwing : 8
catching : 34.71
carrying : 85.02
tackling : 8
kicking : 8
punting : 8

50 skill points for SA's
1301 bonus tokens

My two main concerns are how high Stamina and Vision should be. Let me know what you think.

(EDIT) My plan is to have a non Spin focused elusive, I know I may be crazy, but I'm trying it

I like 1 slightly over 2 but I think STR is questionable on them both. I wouldn't go with less than 2nd capped str if you want him to be effective at high levels.

And why no spin? It's incredibly overpowered and the best SA for any elusive back, you'd really be hurting him if you didn't get some of it. Yeah he'll be good at fakes (esp the 2nd build) but you'll need to break tackles, esp with 160+ spd back 7 players chasing you all over the field in 10 seasons.

I'm not sure what an ideal level for vision would be though, I think with my guy I'll wind up mid 50s and I dont think too many others would recommend taking it much higher. Stamina should definitely be at least 60. 70 may be a little overkill but if you can get your primary att's to a good level and still reach 70 I doubt too many people would complain.

Thanks for the input. I would not be neglecting spin, but it would just not be the focus of him. What do you think makes the second build better at fakes, is it the higher carrying or vision? or a combo of both?

Don't do it. Unless you, like me, are naively hoping that Bort will berf fake backs.

Had 2 + 5% fake gear upgraded and a juke piece (before I sold them all for BT after I retired and put the SP into the build).

The problem with relying on fakes is, even if you are successful, the majority of the time the defensive dots recover WAY too fast to be effective. They shrink then jump right back up to make the tackle.

Yeah mostly the vision I'd say, but carrying helps some too.

Another thing I like in 1 over 2 is the catching - even if your HB isn't going to be a scat back, it's good to be able to catch some passes so DC's can avoid tagging you. I plan to finish around 48 on my hb as well.
