A specific suggestion as to the point greatly diverted into flame silliness, how to reduce FFs in the ST game.
All too often a tackle is a surprise to the ball carrier, it being made by someone who came from behind, dove or blindsided him, which factors into the fumble statistics.
Kick Returners, on the other hand, generally see their assailant coming and are better prepared for the hit as a result.
And usually those tackles are at a high combined speed which apparently increases the chances for a fumble.
So either take the speed factor away, or give the KRer a boost to not fumbling above and beyond the VAs and SAs and AEQ that are a result of his seeing the tackle coming. Basically an innate Cover Up like skill.
AND
Since a KRer knows that holding on to the ball is Mission Number 1, have that base chance increase for each prior fumble during the course of the game.
You can then still have your STOP players built to take the ball away. But they would be up against a slightly tougher target than they currently have. That way they can still get a FF or two but maybe not 20 or 10 or say 6 so often.
And yes something should be done about the KR TD silliness too. No idea how to fix that though. Easier to break a block maybe???? Not sure whats going wrong on the coverage game to fix it. But thats another thread anyway. Unless maybe its too many Pancakes from the speed thing too? In which case maybe removing speed from the KR equations all around would be good.
