We aren't quitting, but we are restarting. The team has run it's course. The core will hit retirement at the end of the season. I was all fired up to keep going, but the War Room talked some sense into me and last season we decided to restart.
Ithaca was started when I had all of 3 season experience and it was started for the purpose of proving that non-ssb teams could compete with SSB teams. I know that anyone who would SSB would consider my experiment a failure, but I am not judging so harshly. In the statement-"Ithaca lost most of the games that they should have lost", lies the reality that we won some of the games we should have lost.
We will be back in 8 or 9 seasons. I know Hague will still be here and so will some other teams.
SPARTA is only 2 or 3 seasons away from wreckin' yall's shit. Sparta is what happens when you take this same organization, but other teams don't have an advantage at the coin-flip. So much so, that they have 3loltrophies even though they were built for end-game.
Just letting you guys know what is up. I haven't been hiding this season. I said from the very begining, that you guys were letting our name rank us too high, that the team was devastated by retirement. Last season when we had a huge hole in our secondary and all the good teams were able to see it and exploit it, well, this season it goes far deeper than that. I was hoping beyond hope that we could put together a good season in our last EEPL season for a while, but it just wasn't meant to happen. (knowing the begining goals of the team sort of puts all my shit-talk into perspective, doesn't it? I always knew it was a longshot
