Another week, another massacre—although honestly against Vallonia, I thought it would be worse. Vallonia put up almost 200 yards on the Spartans, although I think this is more a sign of the BeaverHunters getting back in the game than the Spartans slowing down a step. They remain the team to beat.
2. Los Angeles Reign 7-0-0
Last week: 2 High:2 Low:6
The Spartans’ biggest threat laid the beats to another bottom tier team as they jumped all over Colorado Springs. I think everyone is waiting for the LA-OKC matchup to see if someone can lay low the Spartans. The Reign’s offense has been improving and their defence is top notch so they have a chance.
3. Little Haiti Voodoo 5-2-0
Last week: 4 High:3 Low:10
The Voodoo crack the top three for the first time as they came out victorious in a solid game against Fresno. The Voodoo got up in the early going and held on for the W. They have a solid defence that will be severely tested against the OTR Red Dots next week.
4. San Jose Chupacabra 5-2-0
Last week: 6 High:4 Low:13
Another shutout victory now gives San Jose five wins in a row. The Chupacabra’s D against a strong Reno team bent but never broke. They travel to OKC next to play the Outlaws as a warmup to the Spartans in the following game. With San Jose’s hot streak, think the Spartans might be getting nervous?
5. Over The Rhine Red Dots 5-2-0
Last week:5 High: 3 Low:9
OTR holds steady this week after beating an always game South Otto squad. The Red Dots have back to back wins over solid opponents, squelching the speculation that they were a bully team that only beat second tier opponents. A fourth consecutive win against Little Haiti next week would only increase their momentum as they push towards the playoffs. Start taking note of this defence…they’re starting to get turnovers in bunches.
6. Fresno Fire 5-2-0
Last week: 3 High:3 Low:7
Dropping two in a row sends the Fire tumbling down the rankings. However, they were against two very good teams. Look for them to rebound with wins against Vallonia and Boston over the next couple of weeks.
7. Florida Bulls 4-3-0
Last week: 9 High: 5 Low:9
The Bulls take their second in row and beat up on a hapless Minnesota team. Their offence looked dominant again but when a team like the Americans are getting decent yardage on you, you have to look twice at your D.
8. South Otto Fragile Porcelain Mice 3-4-0
Last week: 8 High: 6 Low:9
For the second straight week, the Mice hang tough with a top team but take the short end. Their offence faded badly in the fourth quarter and QB Sirius Black tossed five picks. The underrated South Otto defence held the OTR offence
in check most of the game and kept them in it.
9. Reno Marauders 4-3-0
Last week: 7 High: 2 Low:9
The Marauders couldn’t get enough momentum offensively to put any points on the board against the tenacious defence of the Chupacabra. They face another great defence next up against the LA Reign and back to back losses could derail their playoff hopes. It’s put up or shut up time for the Marauders.
10. Vallonia BeaverHunters 2-5-0
Last week: 10 High: 10 Low:16
Got mashed up by the Spartans but did some good things against the OKC. They enter a rough stretch with 4 of the next 5 teams they play being solid top tier teams. Hopefully they carry some of the good things they were starting to do into next season.
11. Minden Musketeers 2-5-0
Last week: 13 High: 11 Low:15
Here’s some words people didn’t think possible last season. Minden wins back to back games. In fact, they have a good shot to make it three in a row against the Flyers next game. On a sadder note, Chris Lightning continues to believe that you get points for throwing the ball to the opposing team and chucked another 3 INTs.
12. Colorado Springs Flyers 2-5-0
Last week: 12 High: 3 Low:12
They really had no shot against the Reign. Struggling offense vs dominant defense….. not much of a matchup. What happened to these guys? 13-3 to this?
13 . Bay Area Bastards 2-5-0
Last week: 11 High: 10 Low:13
Another team with a very disappointing season. Were picked by some to be a playoff lock in the preseason and now are getting beat by the Minden Musketeers. The ultimate kick in the ass? Their one out of conference game is against the Eleven Wise Monkeys of the Eastern Conference. Its official. God hates you.
14. Minnesota Americans 1-6-0
Last week: 15 High: 10 Low:15
Game one: Zero points. Think they can score more than 14 over the next three games to prove my prediction wrong? I’m betting they can’t.

Signs of the apocalypse…raining frogs, war, pestilence and the Outlaws getting a W. Not to worry though..the world will not stop as the Outlaws play a red hot San Jose team next week that will surely bring an end to this madness.

if you have to beat the best to be the best, then do you have to lose to the worst to be the worst? Apparently so… The Monster should head directly to the nearest bar and drink their sorrows away…oops sorry, its Boston…so that’s actually a “baah”, not bar.
