Kingston Uprising vs. Guam Chamoros Rising Sun Devils - Kingston has the top APV. Guam is half CPU. 'Nuff said
All Good Things vs. Syracuse Synergy - CPU vs CPU, but AGT has the better gameplan as demonstrated by last season's performance.
Banzai Pipeline 'Nites vs. TCU Super Frogs - Top team vs. half CPU team. Once again, 'nuff said.
SWAT City Vigilantes vs. The Sacred Order Of The Crimson Dragon - Crimson Dragon is extremely young, with players that are performing worse than Pro level CPUs. Easy win for SWAT City.
OffTopica Miracle vs. Compton Panthers - Another young team (Compton) that is struggling in preseason games. OTM is a solid team that may struggle in a very good Alpha, but will own Compton in this Week 1 game.
Asylum Maulers vs. Komodo Dragon - Preseason match-up between these teams was very close. Hard to pick a winner on this one. Asylum won the first one, so I'll pick them again but this is a pick'em really
So Cal BDC vs. Amsterdam Bulls - One of the better week 1 matchups. I suppose it will depend upon if SoCal is taking regular season games seriously or not. They are my pre-season #1 (when I get my rankings finished), so I am going with SoCal.
Tampa Bay Puganeers vs. Gold Coast Vipers - Yet another game that looks very competitive. I am giving the nod to GCV, but I can see this one going either way.
Buda Pests vs. South Bend Rhinocopters - South Bend is a young up and comer, but this is Week 1 and they are playing a demoting WL team that looks to be a top team this season. Advantage Buda.
Hong Kong Voodoo vs. Kona Gold - Kona played So Cal very close in the first preseason game. Hong Kong beat Asau pretty easily in their ranked scrim. Ranked scrim > preseason scrim (at least in theory), so I am going with Hong Kong in a closely fought game.
Holland Pinoy All Stars Jrs vs. Oberon Bulls - Oberon is winning or losing by very wide margins this preseason. Holland is a farm team, and you can not be sure about their care level. I really have no idea who wins this one. Since Holland played Asau closer than Oberon has played Devonport and Buda, I'll giove them the nod. However, lolscrims and all, this one could easily go the other way.
Bora Bora Bangaroos vs. Prague Panthers - Bora Bora was an interesting team to play last season, as they used a CPU D and the Big Heart VA to create a very dynamic offense that made for some high scoring affairs. The change to Big Heart killed this strategy for Bora Bora, and thus they are going to lose alot this season.
Gold Coast Michelin Men vs. Warriors of Oceania - GCMM is a solid playoff team. Warriors is a perennial cellar dweller that somehow has avoided demotion over the last 3 or 4 seasons.
Florida BeachDogZ vs. Deadwood Mules - Got to throw Zeta a bone.
San Diego Scorpions CPU vs. San Diego Supa Chargers - Humans vs. CPUs. Humans win.
==============================
Game of the Week
Devonport Devils vs. Asau Pirates - This matchup proves that Bort has a sense of humor. Asau and Devonport have been trading shots for 3 seasons now, both on the field and off the field. This is a friendly rivalry, but we can take shots at one another from time to time. Devonport has won 4 of the last 5 games between these teams, and has never lost to a Zeta team in a meaningful league game (regular season or playoffs). However, Asau won the last one, so they may have solved the Devonport gameplan. I have to go with history (and my boys) and pick Devonport in a very closely fought game.
I have it 12-4 Alpha. Several of these games could go the other way tho, so it might be closer (or worse).
