I use 2 on mine. I don't know if I've seen any WL DT rolling without two, because EVERY WL C has a minimum of 2 hold block.

Yeah, but is break block even helping at WL level for DT, seems like there are little to no sacks anyway, and most DT should still be getting hurried without em.

No longer WL NT... but spent 4 seasons there.

Still in WL for at least 1 more season.

I haven't noticed any benefit from having 2 BB% pieces.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1604560 - 2 pieces (he had 124 reverse pancakes last season in WL)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1304875 - 1 piece (he had 280 reverse pancakes last season in WL - over last 2 seasons 705)

Each season it is feeling more and more like there is a ceiling that DTs hit the max effectiveness you are allowed and then it is all a matter of RNG. After that there is no benefit in adding any more sp to anything, and it doesn't matter where you add it.

I think there used to be more benefit to 2 BB pieces when:

- Hold Block EQ was very hard to find in the store and there was no way to build EQ
- BB pieces were fairly easy to find shopping and could come with an additional SA or % item (SB, BT, MT%, FS, etc)

I think those were both fixed a calendar year ago or so, it's been so long that I can't remember.

I think it meant more when you could actually put them in a position to do something after they broke a block

That's just simply not true.

Let's see how the DTs for Alpine do this season. They all have different builds, but we can see what kind of season all 4 have.

Also will be interesting to compare
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1604560
vs
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1538753

PM has 8 more pts of strength, 3 more pts of agility, 17 more pts of vision
MS has 8 more pts of tackling, 11 more pts of jumping, 3 more pts in stamina, 2 more pts in confidence

SAs are very different

It will also be interesting to compare PM to Crawley even though it's not quite an apples to apples comparison since they are playing different positions. Those builds are probably the most similar except they have speed and tackling reversed on the builds and the SAs are very different.

I'll also watch to see how Canton's DTs do.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1486012 - I'll see how this DT does compared to Parker.

Im considering finishing with no BB pieces on one of my DT's. If the average WL DT is getting about 1 sack a season (maybe less in non blowouts), i just cannot see getting break block gear (as i dont think breaking blocks are the problem so much as getting anywhere once you do). Thinking i might go 1x force fumble, 1x first step, 1x strong base (worth trying), 1x break thru. Build will be at 333 combined str/agil/speed. So its a quality build.

This guy http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1602287 is closer to how Crawley should have been built...keep your eye out for him (I hope )

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1604560 - 332 combined with 2 BB% pieces,
6 shed
6 wall
7 break through
10 FS

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1304875- 323 combined with 1 BB%
10 strong base
7 wall
11 break through
11 first step

both have almost 70 vision

OK so in Alpine's first game

The DT with the lowest tackling and highest speed had 2 tackles, 0 missed tackles, 0 hurries, 0 sacks
The DT with the lowest speed and highest tackling had 1 tackle (a sack)
The other 2 DTs (between 75-83 tackling) combined for 3 missed tackles as their only stats

Keeping track of Deuteronomy - he had 1 tackle and 2 hurries
