How high should one take it? 77? 81?

Please no. Take it to 77 if it's your third attribute; to 73 if it's your second.

Where's that make it at end build, if you only take it to 73? Nowhere near 90, right?

If you're a return man CB, I love it for the spin bonus. If you're not, I still love it since you cant really touch carrying like you can a return man, so you may as well jack other things up, like agility.

83-85 I think, with EQ taking it to 90. You can run 145+/90/85 spd/agi/vis if you go 77/73/77 for those three. Leaving it there allows you to still get close to 80 jumping, 60 stam, 60 tackling, 50 strength, run 3% AEQ, and push your SAs high. Here's one I ran when trying to determine if it would be better to pick up a fourth SA piece over a second piece of PD% with the AEQ nerf:
Yes Man XIV: Another Yes Man (Lv. 75 CB)
Ht/Wt: 6'3", 170lbs

fwiw, longhorn fan advised me against taking agility as high as i did on this build here, saying it wouldn't round out enough. i think it has rounded out just fine. sitting on 15 SP to go into super vision.

I'm happy with mine also - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1607037
I forget how high I took agility, though. 20 SP & 4 EQ points to spend. Aside from not being able to tackle anyone, it's a good dot.

I wouldnt call that rounded out although the build isnt bad. Stam should be 60, confidence is way too low. no SDC and SV will not be where it could be.

You lost credibility here.

I'll agree with you on the SDC issue (though I still like it for the PD boost), but I have to go with him on Con/Stam/SV. I like to see 40-48/55-60/10 in those on my CBs. I do love the AEQ, though.
As for Forbin's I'd like to see more tackling, CD, and %AEQ.
Here is my oldest CB for reference: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1609574
On him, I wish I had an MT% piece instead of the SDC piece, but everywhere else I'm happy with. He's slower than your and Forbin's but has the higher stamina and SAs that I covet.

well after trading in BTs he'll have 27 SP. which will let me get SV up to 8 natural and stamina to 55 if i wanted, which should be plenty of stamina in a 7 CB rotation. so the only thing i'm really missing is confidence. you really think those extra confidence points would be worth having less agility/speed? i don't.

I think the only point in confidence these days is for OTK and Big Heart (not so much anymore)... other than that... I haven't seen much difference in 50 confidence and 40 confidence dawts for in game morale. I don't see how the difference between 40 and 30 would be much either.

Might as well just not invest in confidence at all.
