Nice 2nd round guys!! Apparantly I know Zeta better than I do Alpha.
Alpha Conference
#1 Indianapolis Gurupies vs. #3 Banzai Pipeline Nites
Well, I was way off on both of their round 2 games. Hopefully, it means we can expect another great battle between them like the one we witnessed in the regular season, a game that was highlighted by the Gurupies making a late second half comeback to win 41-38. That said, before anyone/Banzai gets their hopes up on a major upset, the Gurupies have since won the GLB Pro/WL tournament (an official claim to the title of GLB's #1 team) and are still undefeated (league/ranked/tournament/scrim) on the season as a whole (lolpreaseson), even if LAWN feels differently. Not to count Banzai out, as they do have 5 OPL Championship game appearances with 3 OPL Gold's, but since they gutted and restarted its been the Gurupies who have won OPL Gold in season 14 and then spent six straight season in the WL before returning this season. With all that in mind, I leave you with this quote from before the season started...

Zeta Conference
#1 Asau Pirates vs. #2 Sumatra Seahawks
Wasnt far off on my predictions here... as I was one point off on the Asau game and had GCV winning by 3 instead of Sumatra. That said, we get a rematch of last seasons 2nd round playoff game, a matchup in which Sumatra jumped off to an early 21-0 lead by midway through the 3rd quarter and was able to hang on and win 24-21 despite a late surge by Asau. This season, Asau dominated the regular season matchup 51-10 and pretty much every other team they have played. With that in mind, Sumatra has to be thrilled that, for the first time in the last 5 seasons, neither EEA nor Syracuse stand in their way of an OPL Championship game and second trip to the WL (each team has knocked Sumatra out of the playoffs twice over the past 4 seasons). Anyway, OPL Zeta has gone chalk so far this playoffs and I would expect that to continue this round as Asau just seems to be at another level this season. Lets just say that despite having HCreek in the ranks no one is Envying Sumatra's Big Cack!

Good luck in the Conference Championships!!
