The only person who can make you a Gold level talent is YOU!!! But it requires some work on your part...
Step #1...learn the defensive side of the ball first. Pick a Gold team known for good defenses and make a couple defensive dots for them. This gives you access to their build guides and personnel. Plus it gives you access to a Gold level DC if you have questions.
Step #2...buy a Copper team and populate the entire team with your own players and mimic the build guild and personnel used on the Gold teams you are on. Don't bother with CEQ, boosting, or even winning as this team is your learning team.
Step #3...watch your Gold team closely every game and try to figure out their defensive scheme. It's unlikely any Gold owner will give you access to their defense, but most DC's would be more than willing to answer questions, so don't be afraid to ask! When watching the defense, first try to identify all or most of the plays used and when they are called. Most Gold teams use either down & distance or tagging or a combo of both for their play calling. Use this to build your AI.
Step #4...Once you have identified the different defensive plays and when they are called, try to mimic them on your Copper team. This is easier said than done as now you have to examine each play and try to rebuild it. This will take some trial and error and will require you to watch a lot of game film, but this is part of your learning experience. Don't be afraid to ask the DC on the Gold team questions, most of us are more than willing to help someone who is trying to learn.
Step #5...Continue to tweak and adjust your defense throughout the whole season and try to figure out why the Gold team you are on does the things they do and why. Play with your defensive setup and basically learn as much as you can. By the end of your first season, you should have a decent concept on how to run a good defense.
Step #6...Repeat this same process the next season, but on the offensive side of the ball. Your team will now be in Silver and the quality of play will increase, so this will be a good test of the defense you developed the season before. Continue to tweak that defense and turn it into a creation of your own, not just a simple mimic of the Gold team's defense. You don't want a copy, you want to understand why their defense is good and then tweak it into your own creation.
Step #7...By the start of your 3rd season, pending you gave this a good amount of time, you should have a good offense and defense on your hands. Continue to tweak both and watch as many Gold games as you can for ideas on how to tweak your offense and defense.
This does work, it's what I did. I came into PW in S12 having ZERO experience in Pee-Wee. I found a build guide post and followed it when creating my players. I then started to watch Gold games and really tried to understand the defenses they used. I mainly focused on defense my first season and it was defense that helped me win my Copper league. In my next season, S13, I still focused on defense as this one of the slam ball seasons, so offenses were more simple, and to be honest, so were defenses. A good defense helped me win my Silver league and I went to Gold in S14 and never looked back. I am no genius, so if I did it, anyone can, just requires time and patience.
Ya it's easy to bring someone on to your team to install their offense and/or defense, but most people learn better by doing it themselves, so don't hire a Gold level talent, learn is yourself!!!

I was completely self taught in offense
It's what I called leading with actions.
