Texan’s Week 12 Picks
Usual disclaimer: this is my opinion only. If you don’t like it, I still love you.
Last season we did an upcoming game preview week. This week it’s movie preview week. Get ready for some summer blockbusters.
Picks record this season: 151-19
Naga
Game of the Week
Victoria Teabaggers (9-2) v Royal Blue Drunken Smurfs of Funkalicious Labatt (9-2)
This game will determine who’s on third for now. Third place that is and looking very good for at least one home game come playoff time. I knew the Smurfs would be much improved this season as their dots level up but they are ahead of what I had guessed. To beat VT though they’ll have to play a lot better than I’m guessing the new Smurfs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7emiua3X4p4 movie will, although anything with NPH has a shot. VT 30, Smurfs 24
Other Games
Palembang Drunken Monks (11-0) v Bandar Lampung Pigskin Pirates (6-5)
BLPP is hanging in their after their huge upset of VT last time out. That shows they can hang for sure and maybe challenge a Monks team that has frankly not been playing very well as of late. They better have a Fast Five http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bf4oDjHUmkY in their defensive backfield though if they want to pull another upset. Monks 35, BLPP 21
Portland Dirty Penguins (11-0) v Hong Kong Hustlers (0-11)
This used to be a pretty good rivalry. PDP has bigger things in mind right now though as they have a shot for their second ever undefeated season in SEA and HKH will pretty much make them look like Thor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOddp-nlNvQ this week. PDP 255, HKH 0
Cult of Personalities (8-3) v Sainte Foy Cyclones (6-5)
SFC continues to tread on the danger zone of the playoff picture and things are looking tight right now with CoP coming into town. Will this be a second straight win for SFC or more like the Hangover Part II http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAYc3gGjYW8 of their season? CoP 35, SFC 17
Golden Hill Bones (7-4) v Las Vegas Dirty Hookers (2-9)
GHB has managed to gain a game of separation for themselves and are looking solid for the playoffs. Now it’s Vegas baby although they may upscale it a bit to Monte Carlo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=by51PDON5V8 instead just for good measure. GHB 95, LVDH 6
Benton Harbor Havoc (6-5) v Woody Island Wolverines (6-5)
This could have been the GoTW just based on impact as the winner is looking good for the big dance and the loser might not even make it in. That would have been unthinkable just a few games ago for WIW but they have been On Stranger Tides http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KR_9A-cUEJc as of late. Can they recover? WIW 30, BHH 27
Tibetan Drunk Monks (5-6) v Wichita Black Magic (2-9)
TDM is the last of the teams with any shot of making the playoffs and they showed up pretty well against the Monks really last week. This week looks pretty good for them to get back to the Mendoza line if they just keep playing that Moneyball http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aP2Q-IyrWnM TDM 55, WBM 3
Singapore Slingers (1-10) v Semarang (0-11)
Welcome to the worst game of the week and I’m guessing any of you would Scream 4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKtBzVQ_m1c times if you had to watch it. SS 51, Semarang 6

lolgaruda
Game of the Week
SDSU Aztecs (9-2) v Phu Khao Bow Chicka Brown Cows (8-3)
Much like in Naga, the lolgaruda GoTW features a battle for control of third place in the conference. It’s the surprising newcomers against the wily vets. While Aztecs and Cows may not sound as cool as Cowboys and Aliens http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=In-m2RJw3hE it should be a pretty good showdown. Cows 34, Aztecs 31
Other Games
Three Kingdom Warriors (11-0) v Boston Bears (4-6)
Two games out of the playoff race and facing TKW, Boston is currently in dire straights and in desperate need of an unlikely upset. Will the Bears come out like the ferocious beasts of their namesake or will they look more like Winnie The Pooh http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9s793oH5hxc TKW 45, Boston 16
Buffalo Rampage (9-2) v Tanzania Lumberjacks (3-8)
After overwhelming the Jam with their fierce new D, Buffalo gets some lighter fare this time out. Rampage and Lumberjacks sounds more like an X-Men http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8ccSiH4olo reject club but nobody is rejecting Buffalo this season as of late. Buffalo 85, TL 3
Wu Dang Kung Fu Academy (8-3) v Island of Misfit Toys (1-10)
The KFA bunch has rallied and now is eyeing a potential home playoff spot with a layup win over IMT and the potential to pass the Cows or tie the Aztecs. That would be a Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfGvnilwo-8 present for them. KFA 110, IMT 3
NBA Jam Extreme (7-4) v Mandalay King Cobras (6-5)
This is a big game in the lower tier of the playoff race as every win will be at a premium. The talented young dots of the Jam faced a sobering loss from Buffalo but now they are thinking their levels would stop them from stopping MKC. Will they do it or will MKC go Conan the Barbarian http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPNKACzCCnc on their asses? NBA 27, MKC 23
Destin Leviathans (6-5) v Halifax Harpoons (3-8)
Destin almost took out fellow rookie powerhouse SDSU last week but they’re still right there in the playoff race and now will be favorites to pick up another W. They better do their Homework http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAOWA6yAe1U though and make sure HH doesn’t jump up and bit them. Destin 45, HH 17
Krakow Kryptonite (5-6) v Atlantic Great Whites (4-7)
KK is in trouble and they can’t exact call Ghostbusters http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WhyGA6srNY to help them. How much trouble? AGW is only 1 game behind them. Get it in gear boys. KK 35, AGW 10
Shanghai Tigers (3-8) v Bourbontown BlueCats (0-11)
Shanghai has won 2 of 3 games and is looking to get the resiliency award for the season. They should pick up another win here against a BBC team that will make them looks more like the Green Lantern http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaP7hnU5US0 instead of “just” Tigers. Tigers 95, BBC 10
