I know this might piss off a lot of the better teams, but I figured it was time to share the plays that are working well in the early part of this season. This should help to level the playing field of many teams. Many of these plays work due to bugs or changes made to enhance Screens and other short passes. Since I think some of them are over powered, if everyone knows about them and uses them a ton, maybe the admins will take notice.

I got this info from looking over most Gold teams and the better Silver teams and looked to see which passing plays were called most often and which ones seemed to work the best. It's not any info people couldn't look up on their own, I just did it for everyone. If you make these plays the core of your passing attack, you should fair well. Remember that shorter passes will generally work better early in a season due to low catching skills early on. The longer passes will start to become more effective later this season.

I am only listing the plays, not the progressions, when to use them, or what builds work best in them. That you have to figure out on your own...

#1...Singleback WR Screen
#2...Pro Set Pro TE Screen
#3...Strong-I FB Weak Screen
#4...Strong-I FB Weak Flare
#5...Singleback Flanker Drag
#6...3WR Shotgun Strong Flood
#7...Strong-I FB Flare
#8...3WR Shotgun HB Weak Screen

I don't agree with this at all. #4, #7, and #8 are not that good. I would nominate PS TE Sail, WI Medium Drag, and SB Slot Deep Cross instead of those. I'm not sure about #3 and #2 either. I would go with the WI Streaks and SB Under Swing or maybe I Double Back Hooks.

The first 6 were an easy choice based on the scouting of the top passing Gold teams. Just look at the success and number of calls Gold teams have had with #2-3! They are very popular plays and very successful even against good teams. I firmly believe #1-6 are a solid lock for the top 6 passing plays so far this season, though the order might change a bit.

It was a toss up between my #7-8 and your first two suggestions, so they would round things out as a nice #9-10 or bump mine to #9-10 and put your two in as #7-8. The Slot Deep Cross was called often, but had a low completion % on most teams, too early in the season for it to be highly successful.

I know, but #2 and #3 won't work as well against basic silver defenses as gold defenses.

You would be surprised. Remember that the bug still still exists where the LB's way over pursue their coverage person on screens, so if the safeties are blocked or on someone else and the TE/FB cuts it inside, you often see nice gains.

But this is only my opinion partly based on what teams are using in Gold. jkid2, what would your list be?

jkid im too drunk to be bothered to look but if youre using your super fast 3-4 defense you whooped my ass x2 with in seaons whatever then most of those plays aren't going to work on you, but that doesn'tmake them any less effective.

your lb speed is ridiculous and the extra defender makes it hard for those backs to get separation. plus the blitzing safeties and its game over for a lot of those plays.

I would agree with Gerr from what I have seen.....if the list is "the most often called plays with overall good results"

"Best" is a little too subjective as it is highly dependent on the individual game and the defense you are playing. But as an overall I don't have a problem with the list

#1 I don't seem to get the results others are getting
#2 has been my bread and butter since last season. It can be shut down completely however for disastrous results.
#3 much like #2
#4 fallen out of love with this one
#5 solid play
#6 another solid play very dangerous with PF or CF
#7 doesn't work for me anymore
#8 never tried it, seems like it would be a good combo with the strong flood

Bevo is right, not all of these plays will work against every team, so you still need to do some scouting, but these plays do seem to work more often than not.

Best plays: The entire playbook

All the plays work, you just have to scout well. I don't think there was a play I didn't call last season.
S19-S21 sim probably might be the most balanced sim we ever had in PW.

There are some that don't work like [insert QB outside run play here] but for passing plays, they pretty much all work.

It's generally a good idea to utilize the ones that send everybody out on routes though. When people are held in to block that just forces everyone else into double coverage and your chances of getting a completion go way down

Boy there are few that are just abysmal. They seem to work in theory but the timing seems to be off and result into very low performance......But I would agree in principal there is not many plays I would be afraid to call if scouting led me in that direction.
