No jumping?

Yeah, except for jumping, I think this guy would be pretty interesting and possibly a monster.

Its like hes a whole WR, except no jumping. If you invest that much into catching, even getting jumping to 40 by training would result in a lot more catches I think.

I mean... I can have jumping as high as I trained blocking... I would have to give up more vision and more confidence to get jumping anywhere...

I've accidentally trained my current LB's (lvl 59) catching up to ~45 with quad training. It's ~ 8th highest attribute, and SPD/AGI are both ~ 85+ naturally. Catching is his lowest attribute, excepting confidence, currently that relates remotely to LBing.

Since you mentioned blocking, which I never even looked at since I've never had a WR, I'm also wondering how much of a beast this guy would be with even 48. That said, his game would be killing CBs. STR would probably(?) be enough. F blocking unless it's a team plan. Train jumping.

6? F'realz?

I recall having seen it (point taken). I wouldn't go that extreme though.

Give me a second.

In this pbp, a 64 QB QB is passing to a 62 WR. My 51 CB intercepted it. The WR said he was open. Would jumping help? Was it involved?

IMO< since there was no return on what looks like it should be an easy pick 6 means he dove for that nitch.

Fuck. You're asking us? You've spent the last year giving reasonable advice to folks.

Shit yeah I'd keep that guy. Done right, he'd maul CBs. Next big thing, possibly.

Yes - With the right VAs and a good OC he would play a solid role in an offense.

The build doesnt make complete sense to be honest. It seems like you want a break tackle WR, that might block/pancake way better than most WR's. In order to break a tackle, he has to catch a ball. Jump Catch, as far as I know, is a PBP that only shows up when it fires, which means there has to be points in the SA, see here:

Question When a player attempts to jump for a ball to catch it with "jumping catch SA" does it always show it in the PBP?
Answer Most of the time, but not always. Interceptions or drops or things like that can end up overriding the text that would displayed otherwise.

I seldom see WR's that have points past sticky hands SA, its why you 'never see it in the PBP' I think. So jumping factors into a catch roll. See here:

Question Does jumping play directly into the PD score or is it just used to get into a better position?
Answer jumping helps quite a few positions in various things. It won't help you block somebody or something like that doesn't make any sense, but it helps with catching, swatting balls, diving tackles, avoiding those low leg tackles, diving for yards, punting, etc.

From way back in the day, jumping was said to 'increase your catch radius' . Couldnt find it in the Qiki QnA though.

You don't need jumping to catch a screen pass that nobody can cover.
