I know I only have four games marked on my calendar.

We are CPU for a reason, and we may steal a few games
Obviously there could have been a better effort to clean up the CPU issue. Sin City asked to be demoted and was denied. for instance.
IMO it would be better to tell people more about the building process first off. Players building based on rumors and speculation means too many bad builds. Put real information into players hands and you get better builds and better competition.

That was what the first 6 seasons were about. Learning ALG's, build process etc. There is information everywhere, just gotta look for it or ask the right people.

I am in more networks than I can shake a stick at, read the forums, ask for help. and its really not as useful as you would think.
I spent ten seasons building my team up, the one I brought into OPL, and they were good. Followed all the build advices and what not. And we did good, got into the playoffs won a few games there.
Then comes plateau and last call to make changes.
And I get advice as to what I am doing wrong, why my guys aren't good enough. So I make changes in the VAs and in the equipment.
Then my team plummets to the basement for the next 3 seasons.
I ask around for some help and you and others are kind enough to tell me whats what. Turns out I got bad advice and those changes I made were bad. Everything that I was being told was what I HAD been doing all along and then undid in pre season S18 and was stuck with till those players got out of plateau and I could bring in new talent.
Meanwhile ten seasons, Fall 2008 to date, was a waste of time and about three thousand dollars.
All of which could have been avoided if the game was more transparent as to the mechanics.
I still probably would not have gone to WL, I just dont have time to game plan and when I do I am often likely to screw it up anyway (though if the dots were working maybe not). But I wouldnt be sitting in the bottom half kicking myself.
When playing a game of numbers the meaning of the numbers should not be a mystery. You can have enough randomness and equally valid choices to maintain a variety in build styles with more information. That diversity should come from that and that alone. Not from people stumbling around spending years and hundreds or thousands of dollars puzzling out what should have been in the game manual to begin with.
Because once you have spent three grand on a game, and seen it totally go to waste, you are not likely to hang around and spend another three grand applying what you learned. I certainly am not. When the recycled flex wears off, I'm going to be out of the player building business for the most part. I suspect player numbers in GLB are suggesting others feel the same way.
Bort has explained just about every interaction in the game. Best place to find a lot of this info is the Q&A archives. I honestly feel this game has become too transparent.
I confess I wasnt looking there. Did early on but they were busy being cryptic and useless so far as I could tell. Gave it up for the most part and went for the second hand info. My mistake apparently.
