I just asked the team this player was on to release him because (again) an owner blew smoke up my ass and said something to the tune of:
"Oh man! That is the greatest build I've ever seen! He's definitely starter material on MY team!
Then, he signs three other guys and my guy is stuck at the bottom of the depth chart. To his credit, this owner did release him when I asked him to. However, there is something here to consider before signing my guy.
I used to be an owner, so I get what can happen when you are trying to sign players. All I ask is that you be straight with me. If you are not going to start him, save you and me some grief and don't tell me you will. If he doesn't get signed, that is fine too. I will retire him and use the flex points, so it works either way. If it sounds like I am frustrated, it is because I am. I'm tired of owners with more testosterone than integrity and think they are being slick by lying to me. If that is your game, then spare me, okay?
